An awesome after school snack!!!

Hey all!!!! Several months ago I got this cookbook called Deceptively Delicious.I don`t know if you all are familiar with the book,but it has alot of yummy recipes with hidden veggies in them!! You get to add some extra nutrients to your meals AND DESSERTS and no one will be grumbling at the table because no one will know they`re in there!! I promise you!!! Anyway,this afternoon I made this dip for the kids to have when they get home from school with some fruit.I had a very hard time practicing self control and not taking out a big spoon and eating the entire bowl myself!! It tastes exactly like a chocolate peanut butter cheesecake:) Yum-o!!! Okay,now here`s the recipe:
Chocolate Peanut butter Dip

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup carrot puree(I`ll explain how to make this following the recipe!) 1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbs.chocolate syrup
fruit for dipping

Blend all ingredients together except the fruit of coarse and serve with fruit slices!

Please let me know if you guys try this!
Now onto the veggie puree.All you do is steam or boil the carrots until they are tender and then put them in a blender or food processor with a few Tbs.of water and puree them.You can put the rest of the puree into zipper bags and freeze it so you have it on hand for other recipes.This is also good idea to do if you either have a young baby or frequently babysit for a child that eats baby food. Just cook up a bunch of different veggies and puree and freeze them and you have baby food on hand!

In other news,things in general have been going great in our lives lately!! I`ve had alot of time at home getting caught up on housework.Joe is still home and he is helping out soooo much!! The house is getting really organized.It`s such a blessing to have my hubby working along side of me!! I am truly thankful for that!!
I`ve been reading some wonderful books as well.One is called Amish Grace.It`s about how the Amish forgave the man who was responsible for shooting the ten girls in 2006 at Nickle Mines.What an awesome story it is.It has really been helping me examine my own heart.Also I`m reading another book called Secret Believers by Brother Andrews. It`s about christians in the Muslum community and how God is using them to spread the Gospel of Christ. I highly recommend this book.

I plan on posting alot more often.I really miss the blog world!! I have so many ideas for future posts!! I want to do an article on bread baking. I also have alot of ideas about saving money on groceries and also frugal home decorating.I`ve been looking through this one magazine I got in the mail.It has alot of really cute shelves and little country pictures and all sorts of stuff.I started thinking how easy it would be to make some things at home.I plan on trying a few ideas out and posting about them over the next few weeks,as time and money permit.

Before I get started,I have a very serious prayer request. One of the families in our church lost their 11 month old son Monday morning. It was a tragic accident.He sufficated in his sleep.The viewing and service was on Thursday.Please pray for the family.The mom is having a very hard time.Also pray for our church family.This tragidy has shaken alot of lives.

Onto other happier things....Our lives have actally been quiet the past week or so.The kids started school on Wednesday.They attend a public school right in town.It`s a very small school,and they really are enjoying it.I ould rather them go to a private Christian school tha our Pastor and his wife own.My husband is not a believer and doesn`t really want them in a school that doesn`t have sports,so public school it is.For now anyway:) I really wish I could home school them,but circumstances in my life won`t allow that,so they are where God wants them to be at this time:)
Well,I wish I could post some more,but it`s getting close to 9 and we have to be up early for church!Good night and I love you all!!! Thank you so much for reading my blog!! Please leave a comment so I know you stopped by!!!

God`s plan continues to unfold and other happenings in our lives

Hello all!! I am just so thrilled at the amazing things God is doing I just have to share it with all of my dear readers!! Remember Paul and Marybeth? Well,they came to another service on Sunday!!! I really know she has a heart for the Lord,but the Lord is also working in her husband as well.The sermon was preached by one of our deacons and he never preached a sermon before.This too,was part of Gods plan because this man is so down to earth and young and I believe that was a contributing factor to grabbing Pauls attention.He payed attention to the sermon and I really believe he was moved.Is he ready to give his life to Christ.Not yet.God is working on his heart though.He talked more about the Catholic church and the difference he sees in our church and I`m just so thrilled!!!! They`re planning on coming over on Sunday morning for breakfast and then we are all going to church together.EVEN MY HUSBAND!!!!! You see,God is using this couple to draw my husband closer to Him as well. Please pray this week that my husbands heart will melt at Sunday`s service and he will humble himself before the throne of grace.
Also,more great news.My friend who left our church several months ago returned on Sunday.I was so happy to see her returning to her home!!God is so sooo good!!
Now,onto our family news.Today is Emily`s 6th birthday!! Her grandparents took her out for the day to Toys `r`Us and Friendly`s and then came back here for ice cream cake.We`re planning on having a celebration again this weekend at her other grandparents house.Anthony`s birthday is on the 19th so we`ll have a double mini b`day party for the two of them.When they go back to school we plan on having a big party for both of them at a really fun place called Clomb Alot Clubhouse.It`s going to be their first party for all their school and church friends so it should be alot of fun!
I know some of you have been reading my blog for a long time now,so I`m sure your wondering about my female heath issues that I posted about a while back.Well,I`m seeing a new doctor now.She did a biopsy last week and that was negitive thank the Lord!! What she wants to do is insert this device into the uterus that slolwly releases progesterin into my blod strem and it will help keep the uterine lining from becoming too thick.It`s good for five years.It also prevents pregnancy.I do not believe in using these devices for birth controle,but because of the medical condition I have this would really be the best option.
I do need to go now.I hope all of you have a blesssed evening111

Amazing things happen when we trust God

Hello again my friends!! I know you all must be shocked that I`m blogging for the second time this week:)I just have to tell you guys about what happened.Remember the family I told you about that we`ve become close friends with? Remember how I said they started coming to our church? Well their Names are Paul,Marybeth,and they have two children,Ryan who`s 7 and Alicia who`s 4.I try when I speaking of other people on my blog not to use they`re names,but it`s just too confusing.Lol! Anyway,onto my story.God`s really been working in her life over the past few weeks and I`ve seen the hand of God in her life.She was born and raised Catholic as well as her husband.Sunday was only the second time they came to our church.They did end up leaving early because her husband was sick.I tried calling her the next morning and she didn`t call back.I though it was odd,but figured I would see her that night because her husband has been playing softball with mine and there was a church game that night.She wasn`t there,but her husband was.He told us that they were going to go to a Catholic church down the road this coming Sunday.Let me say this before I continue on.I have been a Christian for almost four years now.I never shared the Gospel to anyone other than my children and husband.I have always felt convicted of that and I pray often that God will hep me get over my fear of man and share the truth with others.For the first time on Monday night I was confronted and had to make a stand for Christ and the Gospel.I took a huge chance that these new friends that I love so much would be offended,but I knew the Holy Spirit was with me.I said that the Catholic church does not preach the Gospel of Christ or the true way of salvation.I assured him that everything I was about to tell him comes from the Word of God.I`m not out to bash other religions or churches.The catholic church teaches that you have to earn your salvation through works.God sent Jesus Christ his son to die for us and only through His blood are we saved.After I witnessed to him I felt so different.I can`t even explain it but if your a Christian and reading this you might know what I mean.So anyway,we left the game and I was so sick about the response I got and all that was going on.I tried to call again the next day and didn`t get a call back so last night I decided to send her a message through face book.I let her know the truth and got a response back last night saying that she had made a decision to go back to her old church.I cried so hard because I know the deception behind the Catholic church.I`ve been so sick for three days over this I can`t even tell you.I felt like someone died.I also received a wonderful blessing.My husband who is not a believer came home from the store before with a Christian card of encouragement for me and wrote the most beautiful words of encouragement.I was praying that God would help me submit to His will and trust in Him and He showed me through the card my husband wrote that my testimony to Marybeth and Paul made an impact on him and I truly believe that my husbands heart was touched by God.
The story isn`t over yet.Late this afternoon I got a phone call from Marybeth.She said she did research and found out I was correct in what I told her about the Catholic church!! She will not be going there.She also told her husband about what she learned.I am so thrilled about this!! Praise God!!
Please pray for Marybeth and her family and for me as well.I am so amazed.God has us in the palm of His hands and no matter how hard Satin tries he can`t pluck us out.It`s not about us.It`s all about Christ and living each day for Him to bring Him Glory!!

Hello All my friends!!

Hi everyone!! I hope I still have readers:) I know it`s been a while...again:) Well,alot has happened in the past month and a half! First, my husband and I went on an amazing cruise to the Bahamas.It was such a blessing.We went to three different Islands.Grand Turk,Half Moon Cay(which is privately owned by the Cruise line,and Nassau(not sure on the spelling)I will be posting pictures as soon as my husband loads them onto the computer.Let me just say that the private Island had the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life.I think the only water that will be more beautiful will be in heaven!There were almost no waves and the way the sun was shinning into it made a prism of light that reflected all the way to the bottom.There was a small Christian church on the Island as well and from the water you could see the white cross peeking out from the trees.
Being on the ship was really amazing too.The food was incredible.The only thing was that there was no worship service at all.They had a chapel,but no services.That was very disappointing.I did enjoy the time alone with my husband though!I don`t think I`ll ever leave the kids for 8 days again though.It was really hard because there was no way of contacting them unless you paid a fortune.
Anyway,onto the rest of my adventures:)Church softball has started on Monday nights.My husband loves to play and he invited another family who we became friends with through the kids softball games.So the husbands play and the ladies watch and chat.I`ve become close friends with his wife and she lives right here in town.We started talking about the Lord and it turns out she is a believer.God has really been working in her life over the past few weeks.The people at the game were a real testimony to her and her husband and they started coming to our church!!I`ve seen so much growth in her life over the past two weeks!! Please pray for them.She just started reading her bible for the first time last week.She also just started talking to her kids about the Lord.Her son seems to have a really tender heart and is already telling her that he knows he needs Jesus!It`s just so sweet to see God at work right before my very eyes.I pray that He will give me wisdom and guide me and that He will help me give her Godly advice.So anyway please if you can remember keep them in your prayers.
Onto our next adventure.This past week we went on our annual vacation to the Jersey Shore.We went from Monday to Thursday morning.It was so nice.I love being by the beech and relaxing with family and making memories!!! So then,the day we got home I did some wash and leaned a bit.Then had to run out to stay over at my friends because Friday was the day we had the tickets to see In The Beginning.Down in Lancaster,Pa they have Theatre called Sight and Sound and they reenact all different bible stories.All I have to say is Oh my goodness!! It was absolutely amazing.It just was such an incredible visual of God`s love for us.Just beautiful.We plan on going back with our kids.It`s only in theatres until the end of October.Waite until you hear the night we had on Thursday.Satin was trying his hardest to prevent us from going.First,my friend had a clogged bathtub drain so we had to go to another friends house so she could take a shower.When we got there our friends husband has a snake and said he`d be happy to take a look at the drain.So he goes over and he`s gone maybe 45 minutes or so.Finally,we decide to go because we need to get the kids to bed and get some sleep for the long day we had ahead of us.We walk into her house and her husband and her friends husband have the ceiling ripped down in the kitchen.Everything covered in Drano and dust.So,we went up to put the kids to bed and had to scrub the whole kitchen from top to bottom.Then we went to the store to get stuff for breakfast,made our lunches and by the time we got to sleep it was after midnight.Meanwhile as I slept I was unaware that my poor friend was awake the entire night because her daughter was sick with a fever and vomiting.So she was alright by the time we left.Then on the way down there we almost got into a really bad car accident.We were going about 65mph on the highway and a car pulled right out in front of us and almost stopped.My friend said she didn`t turn the wheel.Our car moved over almost into the grass and we ended up safe.God saved us from what could of been a very bad accident!!! Is`nt that amazing? God is so good. Also in
Lancaster we went on a tour of the Tabernacle and also the Mennonite museum which were both very interesting.I finally arrived home at 11:30 Friday evening.Then yesterday afternoon we had our annual church picnic.This was the first year I was able to go.Hubby went too and it was just amazing.My husband is not a Christian,but we are becoming really good friends through softball with another Christian family and I pray God will use them to draw my husband close to Him.
I better get going now.I need to start supper for my family.I hope you all have a blessed Lord`s day!!!

Update on our lives

Hello all my sweet friends!! I hope there are still people left that read my blog! I know I`ve kind of been ignorig this little old blog these days.
I`ve just been buisy with life.I have to admit that I was just spending way too much time on the computer since I started blogging and so I am really trying to repent of that. I love having this blog and absolutly love all the wonderful people I`ve met though!!
What have I been up to these days? Well,we`ve been running alot of errands durring the day,so when I am home it`s usually laundry,dishes,cooking supper and off to a softball game for one of the kids.The season is almost over though,so things should be getting a little less hectic now.My father in law was rushed to the hospatil last week.It was ver serious.They had him in a medically induced coma for a while.Thankfully he was released last week and is at home now.Please pray that he will start taking care of himself so he can live a long and healthy life.Also pray hat he would come to know the Lord. While I`m asking for prayer requests,please pray for my sister in-law and her husband.They are probably going to get a devorce.Things are very bad right now for them.Neithe5r one of them know the Lord.You guys can also pray for me.I am making Joe`s(my hubby)sister a card tonight and plan on sharing the gospel with her for the first time ever.Please pray that the Lord will give me the right words to say to her.It`s a pritty serious situation that she`s in right now.We just found out she has been physically abused for years by her husband and she has two small children.He has also been unfaithful many times.Right now,she feels as though everything is her fault.Her husband is her vall and all and she pu all of her hopes and dreams into this one relationship.So,now the relationship is falling apart and she just fels completly alone.I just want her to know that this is the reason Christ died for us.We need Him.We are so broken because of sin and the curse that we can`t have a relationship with anyone without Christ giving us wisdome and power.The only way He can give us that power is if we put him first in our lives.We need to love him more and follow him and obey his Word.Only then can we love others and have peace that passes all understanding.Please pray that she would accept this message.

In other news...my husband and I are going away together on a cruise!! We leave on Tuesday morning and will return the following Wednesday.I feel a little bit guilty to be going away without the kids though.The boys have their last game while we`re away though and I know they wouldn`t want to miss it.Too bad we`ll miss it though.They`ll be staying with their grandparents while we`re gone and they`ll be abel to swim every day as well.Plus play with their cousins(Joe`s sister`s kids)and they don`t get to see them that often.I just pray things settle down some with her by then for the sake of the children.
I hope to have some pictures on my blog soon.I still have pictures of Lancaster I want to post,plus sofball pics of the kids.Our church started their annual softball games as well on Monday,so I also have pictures of hubby to show you guys! The problem is that we got a new camera and haven`t downloaded the software yet so I can upload the pictures.Hopefully soon I`ll have them up though!
Finally,my weight loss journey is going so,so well!I`m down about 20 pounds and counting!! I feel so much better.Clothes are fitting That I haven`t worn in months:)
Well, I guess that`s all the news for now.Hve a wonderful and blessed day and remember no matter how much your going through or hurting,or just discouraged with life,Jesus loves you more than all the hurt and discouragement you can ever feel.His strengthy is made perfect in our weakness!!!

Hello guys! I know it`s been weeks since I last blogged.Things have just been really busy around here lately. I`ve noticed that I have alot of new followers,which I am so thrilled about!!! I love that the Lord is using my blog to encourage others!!
So,like I said before things have been so busy around here.It`s softball season.We have Emily in T-ball this year,and the boys in little league.Last week-end was opening day for the boys and I got soo sunburned! First they had a little intro where they announce all their names,then we ended up staying to watch the two other games and then their first game at two.So,we were there from 10am to 4pm.Emily also had practice that day as well.All week there have been games and practice.Then yesterday was opening day for Emily.They had a clown and face painting.It was alot of fun!We took alot of cute pictures,but I have to wait to post them.Another event that occurred on Easter weekend was that my camera dropped and broke.Hubby was very generous and got me a new one.It is soo nice and was a great price as well.He has to download the program before I can post any pictures though.
In other news,last week I was struck with what I think was strep throat,or something very simmilar.I never get sick,but boy this thing,what ever it was,really knocked me out for a few days.God is so good though and He really takes care of His children.Since my husbands injury we do not have health insurence.I ened up calling an herbalist that friends have gone to in the past.I described my symptoms to him and he said he would mix me up something that would surely knock out the infection.Wouldn`t you know,by the next day I was 100% better.Amazing!! And he only charged $3! He really has a gift of healing people.He truly want`s to help people and would never take advantage of anyone.Also,praise God again...NO ONE ELSE IN THE FAMILY GOT IT!!!I`m so thankful for the protection God has granted us!! I`ve known about this doctor for a very long time and have been wanting to do things more natural,so I`m just really thankful that everything ended up working out:)
More good news.Tuesday a few friends and I are going to Lancaster!!I can not waite!! This is a trip I`ve been wanting to take for a very long time.I was just on the phone with my friend mapping out our day.I plan on taking pictures when I can.I don`t know how many of you are familiar with the Amish and their beliefs,but one thing they are strongly against is photography.
Another amazing thing happened.I don`t know if any of you know about the Sight and Sound Theatre? There`s one in Lancaster and also one in Branson,Missouri.What they do is they put on plays recreating various story`s from the bible.I`have been wanting to go see a play for about 2 years now.There was this one that I had heard about from friend that`s called Creation and she saw it with her family and said it is absolutly amazing.So,my best friend was at a local bizarre this weekend and she called me so excited.Here they were auctioning off tickets to sight and sound for the creation show! I agreed to split the cost,figuring that it was no big deal if we lost because the money was being donated to disabled people so it was for a good cause.We won the tickets!!!! It`s only $27.50 a piece and they sell for $47 normally.God is sooo good!!! He always provides! So we have from July-Sept. to make reservations.
Now onto some very serious news.Although there have been many blessings in our life recently,there will always be trials and sadness as well.Last weekend I got a phone call that my cousin had emergency surgery to remove a large mass in her colen.The mass ended up to be stage 4 colen cancer.The cancer has spread to her liver.So far it has not spread anywhere else.They plan to try to shrink the cancer I guess through chemo therapy.She`s in realkly good spirits though.Much prayer is needed as this type of cancer is very serious.My brothers wife died 5 years ago from colen cancer that had spread to her liver.I`m not sure where she is on a spiritual leval.I know she believes in Jesus,but I`m not sure if she has heard the full gospel message or not so please pry for her in that way as well.

Hi all my wonderful readers!! I am so thrilled you stopped by to visit!!!
Not too many new things going on since my last post.One HUGE answer to prayer about my friends aunt.She is out of the coma and showing emotion wich is a mirical.She still doesn`t respond to commands.They will start speach therapy today wich will probably give them a better idea of the degree of brain damage.Also,there is a blood clot in her leg that is dangerious and they cannot give her medication to shrink it because of the bleeding in her brain.Much prayer is needed that God will shrink this blood clot.So,that`s the update on her condition.Thanks to all of you who have been praying for her.
This weekend was fun.Saturday I took the kids to an Easter celebration in town which was cute.Then on the way home we stopped at a yard sale and I got the cutest country shelves!! The 2 wooden ones,I plan on attempting to prim up a bit,but the little black one is just perfect the way it is.I`ve never redone anything before so I hope I don`t mess it up.I`ll post pictures to let you all know how they turn out.For the big one with the hearts,I plan on buying a dowel from the craft store and attaching it for a towel rack.It already has the holes.Not sure wher I`m going to put it yet.
So,my next project for the week is to make some sandwich bread to freeze.I did this last summer and it was so convenient.I`ll be sure to do a post about it with a recipe.
Speaking of recipes,if anyone els fell in love with the Heritage of Lancaster County series by Beverly Lewis you guys have to buy her cookbook as well.It has all authentic Amish recipes that have been in her family for years.I can`t wit to try some out.Another recipe I plan on trying is from Cathy Jean over at Because Nice Matters.It`s for Hot Cross Buns and if you want the recipe just click on Hot Cross Buns and you`ll be directed to her site!! Hello all my sweet friends!!! I hope you all are having a wonderful day today!!
So far my day has been going well.I usually go to the farmers market on Wednesdays with a friend. Today my husband decided to invite his father and step mom,so we ended up going with them instead.I absolutely love going to the market.There are several Amish and Mennonite people that work there.My friend and I have been talking to a Mennonite woman at a stand where I buy raw milk.She is a very nice lady. We had some questions about the Mennonite faith and she was happy to answer them.It is`n Old Order,like the Amish faith.It seems to be very Christ centered.She sells those little aprons for the dish soap and also some hand made pillow shams and a few other hand made items.I`m wondering if she would be willing to teach us how to quilt? I would be absolutely thrilled if she agreed!! I think I`m going to ask hr next week.
I`m on the third book in The Heritage Of Lancaster County,by Beverly Lewis and I`m really starting to take an interest in learning more about a simple life.
Thank you all for your prayers for my friend`s aunt. She is still in a coma.They plan on bringing her out of it soon because the swelling seams to be going down.They don`t know how much brain damage she has yet though.They don`t even know if he can breath on her own or not.Much prayer is still needed for her and her family.
My excises program is still going well.I am thrilled about it and praising God for His strength that is carrying me through this journey:)I woke up very early yesterday morning so I could work out before I got the kids up.Then hubby and I headed to the gym and worked out some more.I`m actually finding exercise fun.Monday will be 3 weeks since I started this program.I`ve been working out 6 days a week.This is the most consistent I have ever been my entire life with exercise.This is how I know t is not of my own strength,but from God.I will keep you guys posted on the progress I make.So far I have lost about 6 pounds.Woo hoo!!!!
Well I`m off to do some laundry(oh joy) and then some reading before the kids get home.Bye for now!!!

Hello all my sweet friends!! I`m so thankful that you stopped by!! My goodness,what a week.I have very tragic news to share with all of you.Last Sunday my friends Aunt fell down the steps at her home.She underwent two surgerys because there was bleeding in her brain.She is now in I.C.U. The swelling has not gone down and they had to put her into a medically induce coma on Wednesday.Please pray for the family to be trusting in God.Most of them are not Christians.I went to the hospatil with my friend on Wed. to help out with the kids.I was able to share with her mom what I went through the days before my mom passed away.I pray I was encouraging.I got news today that they deepened the coma because the swelling is still at an unsafe leval.If it does not get better soon they will have to surgically remove a portion of her skull.As it stands now there is alot of permanent brain damage.They are not sure of the extent because she cannot communicate.I know God is soverine.We don`t understand why theses things happen,but we do know He is in controle and His love is perfect in our weakness.I`ve been trying to comfort my friend because she is very close to her Aunt.Also pray that there will be peace among one another durring this trial.I know,sometimes durring things like this family`s tend to bicker among one another.
I`ve made a few cards to encourage people.Card making is such a wonderful ministry.
It`s really been doing my heart good to be able to minister to my friend this week and encourage her in the Lord.She is my absolute best friend and sister in Christ.It`s amazing how when someone is struggling with something the Holy Spirit gives you the words to comfort them and thoes same words minister to your own heart as well.So many motions can come out when someone is going through a crisis.Prayer is so very important.The mkost important partabout prayer for our own hearts is being completly honest with God.If your sturuggling in an area of your life,tell God.Ask Him to help you.Then leave it with Him.When we are burdened and we take it to the Lord, He can lift those burdens away when we trust him.That`s when we have peace.Our peace then turns into joy.The joy that comes from trusting in Him.No,our circumstances might not change.They may never change,but we can be at peace when we trust Him.Think of all your troubles as baloons.Prayer is the hellium that lifts the burdons out of our hearts,and replaces them with peace.We`re not perfect people.We ARE sinners.We will make mistakes.We will be sinned against.We will sin against others.This we can be certain of.We can`t carry all of our burdens ourselves.We can`t.It`s just too much.Christ died so we don`t have to.We are not alone.He said come to me all ye who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest.He want US,us sinners to come to HIM.Perfect and Holy Christ.That is Amazing.That is something to be overwhelmed with joy about!! So,if you are feeling overwheled with burdens today,take it to the Lord and He will overwhelm you with His great love for you.

Hello my wonderful blog friends!! Boy,it has been a while! Gosh,I`ve just had about a thousand things running through my mind latly!!Projects I want to try,not to mention my life has been pritty buisy in general.
I`ve been doing alot of thinking and I`ve felt very much convicted that I need to prioritize my life.I do housework most of the day,and when I do go on the computer I seem to have 1000 things to do,so there has been no time to update my blog.
I started reading The Lancaster Heritage Series,by Beverly Lewis.Oh my! I`m halfway through the 1st book and it is so good.It has really convicted me in alot of ways.I really feel I need to simplify my life.I`m not just talking about becoming more organized,although that would help.I really think WE as Christians are not glorifing God by the ways we live.This is something that I think we all need to be praying about and really asking God to change our hearts about.I just thing we`re confoming to the world too much.Trying to keep up on the latest fashions,getting our hair done,stuff like that.We`re just way too materialistic.It complicates our lives too.Please don`t misunderstand.I am not judging anyone at all.The Lord convicts everyone in diferent ways.This is just one of the ways he`s been convicting me latly.
Another HUGE thing that`s been going on in my life is my weight loss journey that I`m on.My friend and I have been working out together and I`m really trying to stick to it this time.I feel so different this time around.I have a new outlook on weight loss.I`ve been praying alot and asking the Lord to lead me and for the first time ever,I truly feel HE is leading me in this area of my life. I`ve been so confused about what type of program I should start.Truly,it came to me a few weeks ago that Slim Fast would be a good program for me because I can have chocolate.It`s really been curbing the cravings and so I`m really thankful for that.My husband is also on board with eating healthy as well!! I am so excited about that!!It`s a huge answer to prayer.I`m sure some of you know that since our husbands are head of the household it makes things very difficult if they`re not on the same page:)He joined a gym as well.He got a family membership.I`m THRILLED about that!! It has a pool as well,so if his feet start to hurt(because of the injury)he can do laps for excersize.
I also got some really nice fabric from href="www.joannfabrics.com">joannefabrics.com for a quilting project I want to try. It`s a very cute heart shaped pot holder.I plan on posting pictures when I get started on it.I do want to start that skirt for Emily too.There`s more I need to learn about sewing first though.
I don`t have time to post any pics right now.I want to go work out before the kids get home.I have a fabulous workout package that a friend recommended called Slim in
6.It`s so good.If you go on Ebay you can find it cheaper.It runs about $60 on their website.My husband burned a copy for me,so on days I don`t meet with my friend I can still workout.I gotta run now!!Blessings!!

So,a fe weeks ago Angie over at Seasons of the Past hosted a swap.My partner was Rondel from Tomato Creek Prims and look what she sent me!!
Isn`t it beautiful? I have t over my mantel in my living room and it looks great there.Thanks again Rondel!! Your package is on it`s way as well!
Now,I want to share with you guys some great things I found second hand.The first item is actually supposed to be valances but I loved the pattern so much I couldn`t pass it up.I`m thinking of making a skirt for Emily soon and his will be just perfect.Alot of the work is already done for the tears! Then,yesterday I found these old fashond salt and pepper shakers!!I love them!!They are so prim and cute!I have garlic powder and oregano in them.

Homemade noodles and more!

Hey everyone!!Boy,I don`t know what`s been wrong with me latly!I have definatly been slacking with updating my blog!
Alot has been going on around here latly.First,I`ll share with all of you a yummy recipe that I just tried tonight.I give full credit for the idea and recipe to Katy from The Country Blossom.If you would like the recipe just click on her name and you will be directed to her post!
Above is a picture of the noodles drying and Emily helping me cut them.The giant red bowl is where I mixed the dough.I also knead the dough right in my bowl.I`ve been kneading dough like this for a while now.It really cuts down on the mess!
I don`t have any pictures of the finished product,but they were very yummy!! I made a really easy recipe with chicken breasts to go with the noodles.All you do is take a few pieces of chicken and put them in a deep skillet or even a medium pot will do.Next,you take a can of condenced tomato soup and a can of cheddar cheese soup and pour it over the chicken.Cover and leave until chicken is cooked through.Then you just break it up and serve it ver the noodles! I though it was very good.The kids didn`t eat tonight.For they`re Valentine`s parties today we donated Longo`s pizza for Anthony`s class.It`s a local pizza that comes boxed and is sold at room temp.It`s very popular here in Pa.So anyway there was alot left over and he got to bring it home and they all ended up eating that for their supper tonight.Hubby didn`t feel well,so he just had cereal.That`s okay though becase we have a ton of leftovers that we will save for after church on Sunday:)
The next thing I want to share with you is the scarf I crocheted for Joey.I am so excited about it!!
Today, I went to Olly`s and got some great deals.Above I have a picture of a very cute box I got with a chicken on it.The picture does not do it justice.It looks hand panted.Then I got the kids two books.The first one is a Quilting book wich I am sooo thrilled about!!! I`ve wanted to learn how to quilt and sew for the longest time!!!!Now I can learn right along side of the kids!!I love how simple everything is explained in this book.I plan on getting some material and batting and starting a quilting project with the kids hopefully sometime this week!!! I cannot wait!! I will definatly post about it! The next book I got for the kids is a Veggie Tails book that is an encyclopedia and atlas for the Bible.I think this will be so great for helping teach the kids and even myself more about God`s Word!! I also got two more balls of yarn.Only $1.99 for mohair!! I have an obsession with yarn now.Where ever I go I have tp check out the yarn section!Lol!!
In other news I was able to participate in a swap hosted by Angie over at Seasons of The Past and that`s really all I can say about that!Lol!Just in case my swap buddy is a reader of my blog I don`t want o give away any surprises before she gets them.I`ll be mailing the package out tomorrow and before I do I`ll be sure to take some pictures and I`ll do a post next week:)
Another hobbie I`ve taken up is card making! I`m excited about it.I still have more supplies to buy,but I did make one for my swap buddy today. I don`t have a picture right now though. I did make something for my secret sister last week(i know she doesn`t read my blog,so I can post about it!Lol!!)that I invented myself called hyme of encouragement cards.What they are is just your favorite hyme printed from the computer and then cut and glued onto craft paper.I should of used card stock to make it sturdy but I didn`t have any last week.I thought about making up a bunch of theses for poeople to keep in their purses or whateve. The hyms have been so encourgeing to me latly!!There is a picture above of the hyme card I made.I also decorated the envelope with craft paper as well. I know it`s not perfect but I pray it encouraged her nonetheless.
Well,I guess I`ll go now.It`s getting very late.My time is`nt se right on my blog.I have no idea how to fix it.If anyone does,please let me know.It`s 11:45pm right now.

Hey!!I hope everyone had a wonderful day today!!! I am soo excited about this give away!!! Over at It`s about Annie there is a giveaway for a hand made Annie doll!! While your there be sure to check out her other blog called bowls and annie.Her husband makes hand made wooden bowls and she of coarse makes the dolls.She has an excellent tutorial about how to make your own annie doll,plus she also has tons of patterns for sale as well as dolls!! I have been a huge fan of annie dolls for a long time now(can you tell?LOl!)Maybe it`s because I always remeber having little Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls as a child.There`s also this huge picture my mom had taken of me when I was 4 years old barefoot in a little yellow sundress holding a giant Raggedy Ann doll.The picture stood on a wall in my bedroom for years.Sometime I`ll have to post in on my blog for all of you:)When I look at that picture now I can see the spitting immage of my oldest son.I always say it looks just like Joey in a dress.Gosh,I`m so sorry to be babbling on!Lol!I guess I`m just getting carried away going down memory lane.Remebering a simpler time when everything was so carefree.Our family was all together.Thoes are all just sweet memories now.No one in my family is speaking now,and both my parents have passed away.Anyway,now I have my own family and we can make memories together!!I also have my brothers and sisters in Christ who I cherish and love so much!!I`ve been through alot in the past few years,and one of the most valuable lessons I`ve learned is to store up our treasures in Heaven and not on this earth.Earthly things will one day fade away,relationships get broken,people pass away,but the one thing that will never pass away in the love our great and mighty Lord has for us.The one that will never forsake us and will always keep His promises!!!
I have to run now!!Emily has a 104 temp tonight and I have to go check on her to see if it`s going down,Blessings my sweet friends!!!

Hey everyone!!Thank you all so much for your prayers for Emily Rose.The surgery went well and she is fine.She has to heal a bit more before they attach the equipment that will activate her hearing. My friend has to meet next week for training on how to use the hearing devices.Then they will attach them to Emily's head magnetically.It`s going to be so exciting for this baby to hear!Please continue to keep this family in prayer as they continue through this trial.I can`t help but praise God as I see the miracles He is dong for them.He`s given the doctors such wisdom to be able to design this device.He`s also given my friend such grace to endure the many trials that have been set before her.
I do need to get going now.I hope everyone has a blessed evening!!!

Hi everyone! I really don`t have much time to post today,but I wanted to put up a prayer request.Please post about this on your blog and pass it on. My friend has a daughter that has cerebrial paulsey.She also cannot hear.On Wednesday morning she will be opperated on.They will be implanting cochler implants so that she can hear. I just wanted to ask everyone to stop what their doing and pray for wisdome for the doctors as they preform this procedure and protection for baby Emily.Also,please pray that there are no complacations and she can return home the same day.Please pray that God would provide physical and spiritual endurance for my friend and her family.

Hey everyone!! I know it has been soo long since the last time I updated my blog.My life has just been very busy as it tends to get around the holiday season.Plus we`ve done some more home improvements as well.I don`t have any pictures to show you guys at this time,but I`ll try to get some up later.
First of all I have had two huge answers to prayer!! The first one is regarding my ongoing heath issues that I`ve mentioned in previous posts.My doctor said the type of endometrial hyperplasia I have is curable and the problems can totally be corrected without surgery!!!That is fabulous news!!I did not want to have to go through a partial hysterectomy at only 32 years old!!The second answer to prayer is concerning my husband.There has been a lawsuit going on between him an his former employer.Due to his extensive nerve damage in his feet he was told that if he was able to return to work he would have to take a position he physically could not do.They also denied him Workman's comp.It looks like they are going to settle on two years pay.So that i fabulous news!!He also tried to apply for Social security but was denied because of his age.The lawyer plans on contacting them as well and then if he gets approved for that he can then re-open the case with his employer and sue for wages he would of made over the course of 30 years.So we are getting somewhere with this whole thing anyway.Then after this is all said and done he plans on trying o go to school to re-train maybe in the accounting field or some type of work that wont put any strain on his feet.I just praise God for all of the provisions He has made for our family!!
As I mentioned above,we have been able to do some more improvements to our home.For two years we`ve been living with a half painted living room,and molding that needed to be done around the one window.You could literally see the wall boards because the molding was ripped right out.The curtains were covering it,but we were losing alot of heat.So,hubby`s brother who is very handy came over and help us put new molding around both windows and also put up wainscoting.(That`s bead board going up half the wall and then a chairail.)Oh,it looks so beautiful!!The only problem is that I can`t take any pictures of it because the lighting isn`t too great in our living room.Once I can figure out a way to get around that I`ll do a before and after post:)
The past few days have been really awful.Our whole family has a bad stomach virus.My little girl got t the worst.Every hour she was vomiting last night.I was doing wash at 1 a.m. Then I had my 8 year old vomiting as well.Tues.my 10 year old had to be picked up from school because he got sick.Then 4pm it hit me.Hubby is out right now doing our food shopping for us.Between the ice and snow storms we`ve been having we haven`t had a chance to go food shopping.I better get going now.Later on tonight I might post some Christmas pictures:)Have a blessed day and thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Our Thanksgiving celebration and more

I hope you all had a truly blessed Thanksgiving! We went to my husbands brothers house for dinner.It was fun.Then we dropped the kids off at their grandparents house and they stayed over until Saturday.We slept at my brother in-laws and then were out of the house by 3:30am to go shopping.Yes,I know it`s crazy,but it is a tradition in our family.We never act crazy,or greedy,like alot of people and we ALWAYS pay with cash.We just do it for fun.We were both asleep by 8:30 that evening.We were so exhausted.
Above I have a picture of a volcano the boys and I made on Wednesday.They had alot of fun making it. They go a few toys to play with in the "lava",then we`re going to leave it for a few weeks and see how the mixture crystalized.I think this will be a fun things for the kids to see.Also,it will help them to understand that if this mixture only takes a few weeks to harden then it doesn`t take millions of years for fossils to form!
Next,I have a before and after picture of Emily`s hair.She got a haircut on Wednesday and I think she looks so cute!!
Then on Wednesday night I made homemade pizza and garlic knots with the kids.Actually it was just Anthony and Emily.Joey was off doing his own thing at that time!Oh,the kitchen and kids were full of flour,but they had such a good time!!Sometimes messes are worth it for the memories they make!! And then the last two are of the finished products.

Hi everyone!Wow,I can`t believe Thanksgiving is almost here!!I`d love to here hat everyone is doing for Thanksgiving,so if you stop by my blog be sure to tell me in the coment section!For Thanksgiving we always go to my husbands brothers house.Since he lives about an hour away we stay over night and then get up early the next morning and go shopping for black Friday.We always have so much fun!!My mother in-law usually takes the kids over night for us.Weather permitting she will have them Thursday ight after dinner and then Friday night as well.We plan on wrapping some Christmas presents on Fri.and maybe go out for dinner,just the two of us.
In other news,my husband want`s to start a family fun night.Every Wedneseday evening we will play a board game together.Last week was our first official game night.We played Picturika!Have any of you ever played this game before?I highly recommend it.It`s kind of like I spy.The board has a bunch of hidden pictures in it and when it`s your turn,you roll the dice,then you pick a card and you have to find whats on your card in the aloted time either by your self,or it could be the first one in the group then you yell "picturika!"when you find it.It`s a very fun game!!
The next group of pitures I wan t to share with you guys are of my son`s art work. My boys love to draw.I think they both are very talented! One of things they like to draw are super heros.These are actually of super heros that they made up.

My first crocheting project!!!!

Hey guys!!I hope you all are having a wonderful day!! This is a picture of a chrocheting kit I purchaced from Walmart a few weeks ago. I finally sat down two nights ago and taught myself to crochet!!Next I have a picture of my winter blanket in the making!!It has some mistakes,but I think it`s coming along nicely!! Soon I hope to get the kids each a ball of yarn and a crocheting needle o they cn join in on the fun with me!! They really want to learn.
Next,I have a photo of Anthony and Emily with our new kitty.I had a basket of laundry and a quilt on top of it that goes in the kids room and Midnight curled up on top of it.The kids really wanted me to take a picture because it was so cute!!Next I had hubby take a picture of my new hair cut. I don`t know if you can tell how much shorter it is because my shirt is black but it was to the middle of my back before.I think that is a horrid picture of me,but oh well.You can see the ugly walls in our bedroom too!LOl!We plan on redoing this room soon.It`s actually going to be Emily`s room,but that won`t be for a while yet:)So,anyway,the next picture I want to share with you guys is of our candelite dinner last night.I made roasted chicken,smashed red potatoes with skins,and oven roasted carrots.I have no idea why it came out so dark though.There is plenty of light in our kitchen now that we renovated it.Now that I think about it....I may have taken this picture two nights ago.In that case we had creamy chicken over rice with bab carrots and green and yellow string beans.I also made somehing called apple dump cake for dessert that night. Oh my goodness was it ever so yummy!!! Have any of you ever made a dump cake before.It`s so easy!! I plan doing a recipe post one day to post some of the things I`ve beencreating for my family in our new kitchen!!Some of the recipes I`ll be posting include fruit smoothies,and homemade granola.
So...in other news...I went to the doctor today to discuss the ultrasound results.Guess what? I know nothing! They said the ultrasound didn`t show any abnormal growths or tumors which is fantastic news.He said in order to decide what the next step is as far as treament goes he needs the results from the hospatil from when I had the D&C done back in Aug. of `07.He want`s to know if any abnormal cells were found.So,he said if they don`t have the results by January,they he will do a biopsy in his office.January I`m thinking?? There is NO WAY I`m waiting until January. So,I am going to personally go down to the hospatil myself and request the results and then fax them over myself.I am totally at peace with all of this. I prayed in the waiting room that God would give me peace about this situation.He really has.Whatever the outcome is,God knows and He will take care of me and provide a way to pay for any treatments.We serve an awesome God and He is ALWAYS in controle!!
Speaking of serving an awesome God I`ve been meaning to post about this for almost a week now. Our church supports a ministry called Providing Hope Ministries. Someones goes to a local jail cell and gts to preach the Gospel to the inmates.They lso do one on one counceling and lots of other things to help lead inmates to Christ.Well last Friday they hosted a banquet at a local chuch and I got to attend.I heard some really amazing testamonys.I mean truly AMAZING!!We sung two praise/worship songs as well which was again, just awesome.Then at the end they had a table set up and this wonderful young woman was standing there.Sheimmediatly gave her testamony to us of how God saved her.She was a drug addict.She was in a coma and nearly died.Her mother didn`t know what to do with her so she put her in the car and drove her to the church parking lot.They just sat there and a man affiliated with the church approached them.HGe got into the car with them.I guess soon after that she started attending some of the services and about a month later after one of the services ended she just went up to the front and got on her knees and accepted Christ as her savior. A month later she was baptised.It`s been two years now and she now sells hand made Christian cards.She also signed a contract with barns and knoble!! It`s amazing what God can do in someones life!!! I need to go now!!!Have a blessed evening!!

Meet Midnight:)

Hey everyone!!I hope you all are having a blessed day today!! On Thursday night we got a three month old kitten! Her name is midnight.The kids just love her! Isn`t she adorable?We`ve been thinking about getting a cat for a long time because we have a little problem with mice:( Since we just redid our kitchen and have all new cabinets now my husband thought now would be a good time to get the cat.He was looking on Freecycle and noticed someone had a kitten that lived in a nearby town.So,we made contact with the women and picked her up Thursday afternoon. I never though I would like a cat as I have never been fond of cats.This cat has really stolen my heart though.She is so play full and loves to be around us.She sleeps on a pillow in our room at night. She always goes in her litter box which is a HUGE blessing!!AND...the mice have been staying away!!!! I`m thrilled about that! Having an animal to care for is also teaching the kids some responsibility as well.They need to be careful not to leave things on the floor she can choke on and also clean crumbs of food up right away and stuff like that.So,it has been a blessing to have this new addition to our family and I hope we will have her for many years to come!!
AS far as other things are going,the kitchen is almost complete.We hung the new curtains,rods and blinds on Friday.They look so beautiful!! We still have wall boarder to hang and then the kitchen will be finished for now. Until we redo the floor,but we probably won`t get to that until after the holidays.
Theses past few weeks have been so crazy though!! Seriously,we have been going non stop it feels like! Doctors appointments,birthday parties,you name it.Friday,we had the Halloween parade at the school at 12:45,then we came home,left with the kids at 3:30 to go trick or treating and have pizza with my husbands brother and their family,finally got home at around 9:30pm.Then Saturday morning we were out by 8am because I had to have some tests done,then we came home at around 11:30 and I started cooking because we had a dinner party for my oldest son`s birthday.It turned out so well!! I didn`t get any photos of the food,but I should of.We had a honey glazed ham,mashed potatoes,carrots and roasted asparagus! Then for dessert I made a slime cake for my son per his request! I do have some pictures which I`ll post at the end.We also bought a small carrot cake for my husbands sister because her b`day is to days after my sons.So,I guess after everyone left it was around 9.Then Sunday was hectic as well.My husband promised my son he could go to his friends house,so he ended up missing church:(My other son,daughter and I went though.Then hubby picked us up and we were off to a bowling party that my daughter was invited to.After that,we picked my oldest up from his friends and came home.We had leftovers for dinner that night.Then,yesterday I was out the door by 8:30am for my bi-weekly bible study that my pastors wife hosts at the church.It`s always such a blessed time of fellowship and studying Gods Word.Then we each take turns at the end to pray for one another which is just wonderful!! So,after that I got to spend the afternoon with a dear friend.Then got home at around 4:30 and my friend and her children stayed and had dinner with us.It was a wonderful day!!Exhausting,but very blessed.We actually had a wonderful opportunity to share some of God`s Word with my husband!!That was a huge blessing!Today,I went no where.Stayed home all day and did laundry.Still behind,but I hope I can catch up within the next day or two.
So,did all of you Americans get out there and cast your vote today? Our car went into the shop so we missed out on voting.I was really bummed.I was really looking forward to voting this year.God knows though,and He is in control weather I voted or not:)
Anyway,I better get going now!I hope I haven`t bored you all to tears with my ramblings!!Have a blessed evening!!

Carving pumpkins....and yes SNOW!

Hey everyone!!Can you believe,yesterday here in Pa we got a total of 17 inches of snow?Is`nt that crazy?It was so beautiful though.This is a picture of what the main road that leads out of our town looked like yesterday.Thisbwas taken from inside our car.We were on our way to an eye doctors appointment that we could not cancel because we had taken my son ot of school for it.We got there at around 11am and we got a phone call form my father in law letting us know that the kids were getting out of school at 12:30! Thankfully th doctor was able to take my son early so we culd make it home in time for them. Awe aslways have this fear of the kids coming home to an empty house.Plus the door was locked,so they would of been outside in the cold.God is always in controle though,and He took care of things,like He always does!!So the snow/hail/rain finally stopped this afternoon.A nearby town got a grand total of 17 inches of snow!!They said there hasn`t been snow like this in October for over 100 years in this part of the country! Even though it is ot pleasant at all to drive in,God did make it happen for aq reason and it was absolutly beautiful.
When we got home I made homemade rolls and baked potato soup for dinner.I didn`t take any pictures though.
Today we carved pumpkins with the kids.Here are some picturs o them as well.Hope you all are having a blessed day!!!

Hey everyone!! I`ve once again been away from blogland for a while:) We have been very busy this past week. We were able to put in a new kitchen this week! It is such a blessing. My kitchen was very out dated.We also had no cabinet space.My husbands brother works for Lows and ended up getting solid oak cabinets for free.I guess what happens is when you have kitchen cabinets installed they take the old ones away.Well one persons trash is another persons treasures! These cabinets are absolutely gorgeous!!!I am so thankful to God for the blessings He has given to us this week!So,Monday and Tuesday we took everything out of our kitchen and ut it into the living room and dining room.Then we painted the kitchen.Wednesday my husbands brother came over to help install the cabinets and then Thursday they took the old metal sink unit out.When they took it out they found a broken pipe that had been leaking since who knows when.So we fixed all that and got a new sink,faucet and counter top. We also got a range hood for over our stove. Our kitchen was very old and there was no vent at all above it. What a blessing to finally have a filter over the stove now! Then we took down the ceiling fan and put a very nice light fixture up and also ut a matching one over the sink. Then today my husbands brother came back over o finish the rest of the work.Now tomorrow w have to touch up the paint and get some switch plates and put up the wall paper boarder.We still have alot of stuff in the living room and dining room to put away. Weave our microwave and toaster in there which has been a little annoying. Lol!We need to buy a shelf for it because it will now have a new home right above my coffee pot.Then ut toaster will go on the counter top by the stove.We have a portable dishwaster that the microwave and toaster have been sitting on but we our probably going to be getting rid of it.It hasn`t worked for a while and since hubby is home him and I both do the dishes so we really don`t need it anyway:)I`m so excited to be able to share these blessings with all of you!!!I have some pictures of how everything is coming along.I found the nicest store on Ebay and I got some valances super cheap and brand new. Just under $12 a piece which was such a blessing and then I also got the wall border for $14.95 and it is a huge roll.She only charged about $6 s/h which is also an excellent price I think.I`ll have to post the link to her store maybe tomorrow.
Today was our annual Halloween parade here in town.Although I dislike this time of year me and the kids march in the parade every year.I have a picture of them posted as well.My son Anthony was Batman,Emily was a Fairy,and Joey was The Joker which is his all time favorite character.
Also,
I am still planning to have my giveaway I mentioned,but I`m still trying to gather things for it.It will be soon though!
Also,please continue to pray for the health issues I have had.The bleeding returned again. I see the doctor on Friday for an ultrasound.

Here are some pictures of our fall outing on Saturday. Above are all the kids standing in front of the fall decorations they had set up by the pumpkins. Next is my 8 year old son in front of the apple trees,then my daughter holding a big pile of apples.Next is one of our whole family right in the middle of the orchard. We all had so much fun together! This was something I`ve wanted to do for a long time and I`m so thankful that we were able to go!!
Then after we loaded the car with just about 50 pounds of apples and lots of pumpkins we went out shopping and then out to dinner at Old Country Buffet.Have any of you ever been to an Old Country Buffet? I definatly recommend it. The kids absolutly love it there and it`s also inexpensive as well. I took pictures there as well.The first one s of my two boys.To the left is Anthony who is 8 and then Joey who will be turning 10 on the 21st.Next is a picture of all three children.Emily who is 5, Anthony,and Joey.Joey`s making a goofy face! They are so cute and such a blessing to me!!Pictures below are some of the gorgiuos fall folliage Of North Eastern Pa. I love living up in the mountains durring Autumn. I look at the leaves changing colors and I`m reminded of what an awesome God we have!! Who could possibly believe that the earth just formed and evolved and there is no intellegent design behind it?God is all around us!!Just look at His creation and all it`s beauty!! An Update on our lives

It seems as though it`s been forever since I posted!! For those that are wondering,we are all doing fine!Alot has been going on with me.The endometrial hyperplasia that I have has been acting up again.I good friend took me over to the doctors last week,and he put me on progesterone.Things started to go back to normal within 24 hours which was absolutly amazing.My blood count had dropped down to 9.5 within 10 days. In case some of you are not farmilure with blood count levals a normal count should be between 12 and 15.When the blood count gets below 8 the body cannot produce more blood on it`s own and a transfusion is needed.Last August I was hospitalized because my count fell to 5. This happened gradually over the coarse of a two year period though.Last week my blood count dropped within a 10 day period.God knew that I needed to go to the doctor at exactly the right moment!!How amazing is He:)Plus I started taking iron a few days before because I knew I should.So now I`m an official pill popper.I take b12,iron,and progesterone every night. Part of the reason the blood loss was alot heavier this time is because of my new job. I only work 3 hours but the heavy lifting caused ALOT more blood loss than is normal for the condition I have. The doctor told me it`s because of the pressure on your uterus when lifting.So,now I have to go for an ultrasound at the end of the month and then back to thje doctor for a follow up the first week of November.He said he also needs records from my previous doctor because in order to figure out the best way to treat this condition he needt to know what kind of hyperplasia I have.There`s one that has precancer cells,one that has cancer cells and one that`s normal.I know mine is the normal kind because I already spoke with a doctor last year about this when I went into the hospatil.I`m probably going to be facing surgery to have my uterus out,but I will know more in November. I know everything will work out because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.That is my hope and the very foundation that my life is built on.Praise God for my salvation!!!
Aside from all the health stuff we had a fun day yesterday! We went to an apple orchard and picked apples with the kids!It was so much fun!!They got pumpkins as well. I`ll post some pics tomorrow:)My husband bought a new camera for us on Friday!! It is such a blessing. He has to set some stuff up yet,but when he does I will post pictures.Now I`m sure you`re wondering how many apples we picked right?FIFTY pounds!!I will be learning to can this week:)At .69 a pound who could pass up the oppertunity to stock up.It was weird too because this was an idea we just had a few days ago and when we got there it turned out that this is the only weekend you can pick apples:)God is always in controle.Now I have to pray for wisdome as I learn how to can and physical stamana as I`ve been very tired due to the anemia.
So,now let me tell all of you about my new job. It is going very well. I love working with the elderly. It`s very sad at times when I have to go into the dementia unit to clean. It`s heartbreaking to see all those poor people so lost and confused. One woman paces the floors crying because she thinks she has to pay her bill,and doesn`t know how she will get home. I`ve come to realise that there are things you just have to leave with the Lord.We don`t know why these people are going through what they`re going through and no one can change the situation. All I can do is be sweet,kind and friendly and do the job God gave me.It really makes me angry to see the way these people are treated sometimes though. What can I do though? Love one another as Christ loved us!
Finally,it looks like we are on our way to making some really major improvements in our home!!I`ll be sure to post more as things progress.
I didn`t forget about the giveaway I`ve been promising either!! It will probably be within the next week or so as I`m still collecting goodies:)
I also have some recipes to post too,but that will have to be sometime durring the week. The other day I made homemade flour tortillas,and whole wheat hameburger/sandwich buns to freeze.We`ve been so buisy latly I think having these things on hand will help make meal planning a little easier.
Well,I should go to bed soon.It`s going on 12:30.I can kind of take it easy tomorrow though because the kids are home from school.I do need my rest though and I still have research left to do before heading to bed,so I think I`ll say good night for now:)

So here goes:
1.I`m not big on calling people on the phone-It`s really weird.I kind of have a phone phobia. It makes me very nervious to call people unless I need something. I have some of the dearest and sweetest friends,but I never call them on the phone. I`ll e-mail people,but I just have a weird fear of talking on the phone
2.I dont drive.Never had a drivers licence.It is very difficult,but I have learned to get used to it
3.I have four implanted teeth.I was in a car accident when I was 17 and had four teeth knocked out. I had to where dentures for my entire senior year of high school. Didn`t get permanent teeth until I was 22. I had to go throu 1-1/2 years of braces(because my bite was off they said.)Then they implanted bone from my hip into my mouth because I lost bone because of the trama.That had to heal for about 6 months.Then they put the metal screws in wich had to heal another 6 months. Then,finally the actual teeth.
4.When I am home all day cleaning,sometimes I stay in my pajamas all day. So, if you ever happen to be in my neck of the woods and decide to pay me a surprise visit and I`m in my p.j.`s it`s not because I was being a couch potato the entire day.Sometimes I just get so buisy that I don`t even get a chance to get dressed:)
5.I`m only 5 foot three yet I wear a size 10-11 shoe! Maybe that`s not so strange,but I think it`s rare to see someone on the short side with big feet:)
6. I screem too much. this is a very unspectacular thing about myself that I am constantly repenting of.

I hope everyone is having a blessed day today!! My life has been very busy lately. I officially started my new job last week. It`s hard getting used to working with the elderly and disabled,but I am getting used to it. It`s sad to see them so helpless. I try to be as cheerful and pleasant as I can be while I`m there. My job is not to heal them,or change the situation they are in. Only God can do that. My job is just to serve them their meal,and try to be as joyful and sweet as I possibly can to them.God knows what we can handle and never gives us more. I wanted full time hours but I`m so thankful I didn`t get them! First of all it`s very hard on my back as I have to lift heavy trays and mop buckets,boxes,ect.I think it would of been too emotionally draining too.God is good, and always knows what`s best for us! I still believe my job is to be a keeper at home,but I need to obey my husband as well.
For those of you who are wondering about the current situation with my sister,she finally gave us the money:)Praise God for that!!Now we can finally move on from this horrible situation and pay off some of the debt that was incurred during hubby`s injury. I`m so thankful:) I also plan on blessing others with some of the money as well. I want to honor the Lord in all I do and no amount of money will ever change that! Please keep our family in your prayers.My desire is to do the Lord`s will.Often times it is hard for me to give freely to the church because I am under the submission of an unsaved husband.Don`t get me wrong though. My husband has a huge heart and is more than willing to help people that are in need. It`s the tithing that I can`t get his permission on.He doesn`t mind if I give some money,it`s just that he doesn`t want me to give 10% of the money. God knows my heart though:)If I could, I`d give more without even thinking twice. The joy I would feel to be able to give that much to help further Gods kingdom would be amazing!!
On another note~~~The reason I haven`t been posting too much lately is because I`m almost at my 100th post and guess what?? I have a surprise for all of my faithful readers and also for new friends:) I will be hosting my very first giveaway!! The theme will be "Some of my favorite things" and the reason why I decided on this theme rather than a fall theme is because #1 everyone is doing a fall theme and I wanted to be different,and # 2 I just saw so many things that I loved and that have been blessings to me that I just had to share them with all of you:)I don`t have any pictures of anything yet or dates on when the giveaway will be. I`m still collecting things to give away, so when I feel like I have a good amount of treasures I will post the giveaway. It may not be exactly on my 100th post but I promise you guys it will be very soon:)
Finally,as you all know we have had our lives pretty much on hold for the last 1-1/2 years because of my husbands injury,so we will be very busy.We only had this house for 6 months when hubby got hurt,so alot needs to be done. The first thing we will be doing is laying new carpet in the kids room.We have three children in one room right now and it is crammed.We started organizing and cleaning today and will continue throughout the week.By next week we hope to have the room ready to carpet:) When we moved in we had to reinforce the floor,so we actually have no carpet at all in there right now.Also we will be getting them bunk beds. Right now they have a full size bed that my son sleeps in and a twin that my middle child and daughter share.The beds we want have a little closet built in and that will be such a blessing because their room currently does not have any closet space. I will try to get before and after pictures so I can show all of you how everything turns out!

An amazing primitive country store and other events

Hey everyone!! I hope all of you are having a blessed Friday!! I found this site called Fine Country Living Primitives and oh my word... you all must check this site out!! You can go on a tour of their home that was originally built in the early 1800`s. It is so cute and prim inside!! Then they have a short little film of their two cute boys helping their dad build the gift shop they now have. Then there is the gift shop. I`m telling you the things you will find are so adorable, prim, and affordable as well!! Since I started blogging I`ve developed a love for prim decor. I would like to start collecting some things for our home as finances allow. So, I was just so excited when I found this shop. Maybe one day my hubby will take us for a ride. I think it`s about an hour and a half from our house, but his sister lives close to where it`s located so that would be a great reason to do some visiting:)
I got very good news the other day as well. I got the job at the nursing home. It`s only part time for now. It is in the afternoon, which is not what I wanted since I`ll miss supper with my family and seeing the kids, but at least I`ll be able to gradually get used to working outside the home and also get used to trying to juggle my responsibilities at home. It`s only two days a week too which is very good. Plus there will be chances to switch shifts to morning when they become available.What I`ll be doing is serving meals in the dining room.I have to admit, I was very nervous about working. Just because I wasn`t sure I could keep up with the house and taking care of my family. I believe it is fine for Christian women to work as long as the responsibilities around the home come first.God is so faithful! He never gives us more than we can handle:)My poor friend had to go back to work as well. She`s been a homemaker for 20 years and she still home schools three of her children. She was devastated that she had to enroll them in public school this year. So many people are having difficulties this year.
I know I haven`t mentioned anything about my sister in a while. In case any of you are wondering,things are moving at a snails pace as far as the transfer of the money goes. We`ve been running around ALOT,trying to cooperate with everything she asks of us.We`re waiting for her to deposit the money into an account that I had to open in just my name.Of coarse I cannot call her,so I`ve been waiting to hear from the bank when money is deposited. This one woman is so sweet there. She actually agreed to call my sister to complete the transaction.It`s just a crazy situation,and the worst part of it is not being able to have closure with her. I am actually afraid to say anything to her for fear she wont give me the money. I don`t want to say anything nasty or anything like that. I just want to clear the air so to speak.
Truthfully, I would like to write a book about all of the trials we`ve faced over the past year and a half. I think it would be a wonderful testimony of how God can bring a family through anything:)All you have to do is trust Him!! Have a wonderful evening everyone!!!

American Idol Concert

So guys,guess where I got to go last night? To see an American Idol concert!! It was fantastic!! We had excellent seats too. It was my husbands mom,step dad,my 8 year old son and I.It turned out that his brother had gotten 4 tickets and could not go. He tried selling them but also had no luck,so he just gave us the tickets! Wasn`t that so sweet of him? It was alot of fun. Wish I took pictures,but we didn`t think they would allow a camera inside. Too bad too,because there was a giant pop tart walking around and he came right up to my son and gave him a hug! It was so cute. My kids love playing the pop tart games online. They also love to draw, and they make up different pop tart characters and make pictures of them. It`s really cute. Sometime I`ll post pictures of some of the art work they do. They are so talented. Children have such a great imagination!! I`m just so thankful for a happy and healthy family!! Anyway, I do have alot of errands to run and I`m actually heading out the door now so I need to go, but I just wanted to share our little surprise outing with all of you today!!! It`s my prayer that all of you have a blessed day and thank you all so much for reading my blog!!! I love you all:)

Something to think about/changes in my life

I was just over at Sinner Saved and read THIS article that I think is really worth checking out. It has to do with the kind of language we use.It brought to mind an article I once read on Christian Homekeeper. She was talking about why it`s important that we as Christians dress nicely.We are ambassador`s for Christ. Everything we do and say represents to the world who He is. This should be our motivation to clean our homes, look nice, speak nicely,be well mannered, not what others might think of us, but what others will think about Christianity.Our lives need to be a testimony. This way of thinking has greatly helped me really get to the root of why I am having difficulty with organization, and keeping my home neat and such. The motives behind everything have been to serve man and what people will think of me if say they come over and see a mess. I think we need to sit back and ask ourselves what motivates our hearts. Are we afraid of what others will think of us or are we concerned with the image of Christ that we are portraying to others? Just something to think about and I felt lead to share this with all of you today! I hope I`ve been helpful!!
Now onto the second part of my post. I`m not sure if I mentioned that I would be looking for a job in the fall. Well the season has come, and I have an interview on Monday.Please pray for me. I`m not completely sold on the idea of going back to work. Titus 2 says we need to be keepers of the home,and that is what I thought God`s roll for me was. I`ve been praying about it. This is what my husband wants right now as well. He just feels alot of pressure on him right now because he cannot work,so this will be a huge blessing for him. I also got a state ID card today. I hadn`t had mine renewed for a long time.I registered to vote as well for the first time ever. I truly never had any kind of interest at all in politics before,but this will be ther first presidential election since I got saved, and I feel the need to vote this time around. I`m pretty excited about that!! so, alot of changes taking place in our home.
Well, I do need to get going now as the kids will be home from school soon!! Blessings and I hope everyone has a beautiful day!!!

Daily Ramblings

Hey eberyone!! Hope your all having a fantastic Monday!! We have had a very buisy couple of days. Friday we went to a local amusement park called Knoebles. We had so much fun!! Hubby and the kids got to be in a little play as well. It was so cute!! I`ve got pictures,and when I can I will post them:)
Yesterday my husband picked us up from church and then we went to his brothers house for a barbeque and the kids went swimming. Today hubbys mom and stepdad came over and brought b`day presents for my 8 and 5 year old. They also got a brand new entertainment center absolutly free. It is gorgeous!! They always find the best deals:) Anyway, they gave us their old one. It`s very nice. I`ll post pics sometime. God is so good:) He will always take care of us. I think that`s the message God has been trying to tell me latly. When you keep your eyes fixed on Him and His ways you won`t ever go wrong:)

Back to school!!

The kids started school on Monday!!I wish I had some pictures to share with all of you. We are still having issues with our camera. We did get a disposable one, but will have to wait `till they get developed to post them:) Anyway, my daughter started K garden:) I can hardly believe it! She was so cute and not scared at all which was a relief. During the orientation she cried when she went on the bus, so I thought for sure she was going to be scared.I also forgot to mention that on the 19th was my son`s 8th birthday! We just had a homemade cake here for him. No big party or anything.
I`ve been trying to limit my time on the computer these days. Now with the kids in school,I get all my housework done during the day so that I can spend time with them when they get home.
I also started going on Meez at night. Just for bible study and praise worship. Candy, over at
keeping the Home has wonderful bible studies and stuff going on. It`s a great time to have some fellowship with other believers and witness to people. It is really amazing how God has even used something as wicked as a chat room can be to bring the Gospel to people.

Emotionally drained and asking for prayer

I`ve been debating whether or not I should even write this post today. As you all know, I am a very open and honest person. I consider everything I write about on my blog as as part of a testimony of how God is working in our lives. The events that have transpired over the last 24 hours are unbelievable.
I want to thank all of you for your prayers for us concerning the new house.The last part of the inspection was supposed to be today and we were actually shooting for the closing to be tomorrow.Within the past 24 hours all of our plans have been stomped on and the relationship with my sister and I has been dissolved per her wishes.Now that I summed up the situation I`ll go into further detail.
My husband has a very serious injury that has kept him from working for almost a year now. He is in so much pain, all the time that he can`t even stand up for long periods of time. When we have to go out, he is usually in pain for several days after. Through this trial, we got into a very bad position with our mortgage. I could not get a job, because I needed to be home to care for our children. My sister is executor of a trust that was set up by my mother. After praying and seeking the Lord, I had decided to ask her for help.She had told me not to worry,and what we would do is borrow money from our children's college trust fund to purchase another home. This house would go up for sale and we could start fresh with a home that would be a good investment for the children.When the time came for college,the trust would have to be reimbursed. After a year of living in the home,we would begin making monthly payments to reimburse the trust plus any interest they would of made. This was wonderful! She had agreed to buy us some new furniture,and help us with some other normal things in order to move.I had called her,to let her know about something that needed to be taker care of before we moved and she just flipped out.She said she wasn`t taking care of this particular thing after we already made arrangements based on the fact that she said she would.Her and I got into an argument and I yelled at her and hung up on her twice which I am not proud of doing, but I was just so upset and hurt. So then, yesterday I got an e-mail from her saying that all deals were off and she wanted all ties with us broken,she`s getting all her contact info changed,ect.There is also another trust that my mom had set up for me, that I was supposed to get at a later time.I got a second e-mail saying that she`s giving that to me now so all ties can be officially broken until I need to speak with her about the kids college education.
So,that`s basically the story in a nutshell. I`m so upset and hurt over all of this. I have been praying throughout this whole situation that God would direct us on the right path and this is an answer to prayer. I`m just really sorry things had to end this way. I love my sister and I always will. I`m not angry with her for what she has done, I feel sorry for her. She`s going to miss out on alot and one day when the kids are all grown she`s going to realize that she was wrong and it`s going to be too late. This is what God wants for us. Now, we will stay here,get caught up,be able to make the necessary repairs with this house and we plan on investing some of the money into a two year CD and when it matures we will start sell this home and look for something Else at that point. Anyway, it probably wasn`t a good idea to make a deal like that with my sister. I love her,as I said before, but would we really have been happy living in a home that she could sell out from under us every time we had a disagreement?
Sorry this is so long. Thanks to all of you that have read through this. I really appreciate all of your support and prayers throughout all this. Please continue to pray that there will be an opportunity for reconciliation between my sister and I, and that God will continue to direct us. Also pray that God will bring peace and healing to my heart. Blessings:)

God`s grace is amazing

I just had to tell all of you about this post I just read over at Keeping the Home.She told a beautiful story of how many teens came to faith last night through her witness of The Gospel. I strongly encourage you to go to her blog and read this. I was in tears. She witnesses through the meeze chat room. She has alot of praise parties where there is worship music and sometimes her husband goes on with her. I`ve never attended, but plan on checking it out sometime. I know alot of people aren`t fans of chat rooms, but God does use them for His good too. I hope everybody`s having a blessed Lord`s day:)

Gosh,where does the time go? I can`t believe another week is over already! I was so busy today,the day just flew by!! Since we`re moving soon (Lord willing) I thought I would clean out the kids room. So I did that and found mounds of "goodies" that needed washing and put away. My children have a bad habit of taking their clean clothes out and tossing them onto the floor when looking for something,so I have alot of unnecessary wash to do now. Do any of your children do this? What do you do to teach them to pick up after themselves? I also made some more laundry soap. We had homemade pancakes for breakfast this morning and I made a double batch so I could stick some in the freezer. I`m trying to do that more often. School is starting here on Aug. 25th so, I know I`ll be thankful for a quick breakfast we can just heat up in the toaster. So that was my day today. It feels good at the end of a busy day to sit down and reflect on all you accomplished and know it`s done.

Hey,I hope you all are having a wonderful day!! Remember that cute picture I posted about? Well,Slugger is comming to live with us!! I`m going to put it in the boys new room. I`m just so excited!! She actually has a video on her blog showing one of her daughters selecting my name out of a bowl,then reading it out loud. It was really cute. I am so glad I found this blog though! She is a very talented lady. Her artwork is just amazing. She does custome paintings as well. We may be ordering something for our daughter`s room. Click here to go to her blog. Other than that, nothing new going on. We went to the mall yesterday to get sneakers for the kids for school. We got some really cute things on sale. We will meet the kids after school at the bus stop after the first day and go shopping for the rest of the stuff they need. They`re grandparents took all the kids shopping last week-end as well so that was a huge blessing. Tomorrow my daughter is going out for dinner with her grandpoarents and then they`re going to take her to the toy store to pick out a b`day present.Isn`t that so nice of them? They started this last year where they take the kids overnight by them selves for they`re birthday. It`s so special for them to spend time with them like that!!
No news yet about the house. I guess no news is good news though right? Well,I`m off to read more blogs now. Hope you all have a blessed night!!!

I hope all of you are having a blessed Lord`s day today!! Things are going well for us and seem to be ponting in the right direction with the new house.Praise God!!My daughter turns 5 tomorrow:( My baby is growing up so fast. I`ll post some pics when I can. My camera is on the blink AGAIN!!Ugg!! We`re just having a small cake tomorrow and then we`ll probably have a party at the end of the month.My other son turns 8 on the 19th so we`ll celebrate them both together. Hopefully, Lord willing we will be in the new house:) That will be so awesome. I think I`ll truly cry when we finally move.
Now,I`m sure all of you are wondering about this cute picture of an octerpus I have posted. Well...the kids drew a piture of the new pet we bought them for they`re birthdays:) Lol!! Trusting In the Lord

I hope everyone is having a blessed and restful Lord`s day!!I have wonderful news,but I`ve been hesitant to post about it because I wanted to wait until our plans were a little more solidified.We found another house!!This one is so nice and has reciently been reduced by half because it was a forclosure.We already heard back that our bid we put in(which was low)was approved!!Now all we do is send the deposite over and have the inspection set up.I really think this time it`s going to work out.I have a feeling that it is.So that`s really good news!We also were able to get health coverage for the kids which is a HUGE weight off of our shoulders.Hubby was also approved for unemployment which will start mid August:)Praise God!!!So many answered prayers!!I have to thank all of my readers for praying for us through this whole ordeal!Thanks for reading my blog,too.Your prayers,encouragement,and support have really meant so much to me!!More than you`ll ever know.I just keep praying that this little blog I started will encourage all of you in the Lord.That was the whole reason for me starting blogging back in March.I want to bring Glory to Jesus,because without Him I think I would of fallen apart a long time ago.So,anyway I just wanted to let all of you guys know how we are doing and be a testamony of God`s grace to all of you:)I hope you all have a blessed,peaceful night tonight!!

Praying For Wisdome

Well,we got some very bad news today.It doesn`t look like we are getting the house.The inspection report came back and there was a 27 page list of things that needed to be fixed.I`m very discouraged.I know God has a plan for us.I guess all we can do is sit back and wait on Him.Please pray that God will show us what He wants us to do.Do we just stay here and pay off our mortgage,and fix the many things wrong,do we start from scratch and purchase another home,do we look for a shack somewhere,knock it down and put a modeler home up,do we move out of state?The bottom line is that we have to figure out what we`re going to do before we end up foreclosing on this home.I can`t believe we have to start all over again.I guess it`s not so bad.At least we have options.Most people that get into these positions don`t have the resources we have and I believe we`re being faced with this for a reason.We just really need some answers.

I hope all of you are having a very blessed week!!First I want to thank all of you for your kind comments and prayer for my family and I!I am sending HUGEcyber hugs to all of you:)Things are moving along with our new house:)Waiting for the inspector to get back to us with the full report,but we are shooting for the closing to take place in about two weeks!!Praise God:)
So,hubbys brother lent me some money so I could spend a few days with the kids at the Jersey shore.I am so thankful for that:)We all had such a great time.My sister In-laws husband took my 7 year old crabbing off the peer yesterday.They left at like 5 am.He had a blast,and the kids got to eat their first ever crab last night:)Their grandparents took them down on Sunday.I spent the entire day home alone.I never miss church.I actually ended up having a day that was so,so blessed though.I put on some praise music and cleaned the house.Which,once again I never do on Sunday.It was good though,because I got to worship God in the comfort of my own home,got stuff done that blessed my husband,and I got to pray all by myself,and really,for the first time in a long time I just completely poured my heart out to the Lord.I`ve just been so stressed out lately.Not so much about the current issues going on because I know God will provide,but just my own sin.I`ve really had a heavy heart lately and felt strongly convicted about some issues in my life and it just felt really good to have some time alone with the Lord.Just focusing on Him with no distractions.I felt so peaceful.It was a kind of peace I just cant even describe.Sorry for my rambling:)
Monday,hubby and I had a few errands to run,food shopping,came home and cleaned some more.Then we had the inspection at 6pm and his father and step mom met us at the new house(pictures to follow soon)then they came back here for some cake.Then on Tuesday I left at 6:30am to go to meet the kids at the shore.It was so nice.We spent the whole day by the beach and at the pool.Then at night we went out for pizza on the boardwalk and played games with the kids.Yesterday was ride day.After my son got home from crabbing with his uncle we went on the rides then went swimming and back on the boardwalk at night.Then after the kids are in bed we usually have a drink outside and talk till 1 or 2 in the morning.It`s not a restful vacation,but so much fun.All we do is laugh all day:)

Now that I`ve rambled to no end,Susan from Saved Sinner Tagged me.I have to name five of my favorite things.So here goes:

Crash,bang,boom ,and other events in our lives

It all started when I was doing some cleaning upstairs today.I had flushed the toilet....then heard water running in the bathroom.I glanced in there and didn`t see the faucet on.I figured it was the toilet making that running noise it makes from time to time and just thought nothing of it.The kids came upstairs and said water was leaking from the ceiling in the kitchen.Before we knew it the ceiling came caving in and water was everywhere.Apparently the toilet was overflowing in the bathroom.I called my husband into the bathroom because I had no idea how to stop the water from running.He injured his wrist very badly,plus he still has his foot that`s healing,and he has a really bad cold as well.We got the water to stop running.Then I went downstairs and sopped as much water as I could up and then took the shop vac and got the rest up.The damage is not as bad as it looks.We only need to replace 3 ceiling tiles.Until Monday I will have a gaping hole above my stove though.My poor little girl was so frightened when she saw all the water pouring out of our ceiling.I was also very upset,because this house is going up for sale soon!!So,at least we`ll have the weekend for everything to dry out and then it will be fixed on Monday.

In other events,it is official!!We got the house!!!The inspection is Monday at 6pm:)Praise God!!Sunday the kids are leaving for the Jersey Shore.The kids and I go every year with Joe`s family.Last year I could`nt go because Joe had been home from work with his foot injury.I was so heartbroken that I missed seeing the kids at the beach.This year we didn`t think I could go either because Joe is still home and recovering from surgery number two.His brother offered to lend me some money so I could go.Wasn`t that soo sweet?His sister is going down on Tuesday with her husband and two kids,so she said she would pick me up.Then we will return on Thursday.I was thinking of not going though.We just have so much going on here with the house and everything.I think I am going to go though.I can`t miss the kids again.Plus it`s only two days.
You know,words cannot even express how much God has taught me through the trials our family has gone through in the past year.I have learned so much:)For those of you who aren`t aware of what`s been going on I`ll do a recap post later.For those of you that do know,there has been more to the story.My husbands job has been terminated.We found out last week.They said since he`s been injured for longer than 9 months they cannot hold his position.If he can ever return he has to start from square one and will lose 6 years of seniority.He will also have to take a position that physically he probably can`t do.So,right now we have no health insurance either.There are alot of things we are looking into right now to help meet our long term financial needs.Right now we are getting by on very little money.We are being paid through long term disability.My point is that God is providing:)Look at the amazing new start we will have in this new house:)The house is being paid in full through a trust my mom left for the children's college education.Then we will make small payments when we can to replace it.Isn`t it amazing though?God knew we would need that money and He provided:)It also looks like I may have to get a job when my youngest starts school in the fall.I really wanted to be a keeper at home,but if my husband can`t work I have to.So that`s also something we need prayer for.I have so many concerns right now.The kids need eye exams and dental exams and doctors visits before school.I KNOW that God will provide a way.He is holding me up with His righteous right hand.If it wasn`t for knowing that I truly think I`d fall apart.I don`t know how people live without Him.God bless all of you tonight.If you don`t know the Lord,please e-mail me or leave a comment here on my blog.I`d love to talk with you:)

I was just on a blog called what`s cookingThere was a post about making place mats for kids that are in the hospital and I thing this is a great project for the children to do!!Go to her site to read all about it!!What a great way to spread the word of the Lord too!!These children need to know the saving message of the gospel and you never know who else will end up getting saved as well!!Just another idea of a way you can let your light shine in someone else`s life today!!!Blessings!!

Like a Theif In The Night

Just a short little post.Something very amazing happened to me today.On Saturday I was getting some strong feelings about end times.I sat down and was lead to several passages in Isaiah about the future for Israel.I did not understand what I read so I prayed about it and asked the Lord to reveal Himself to me and I prayed about the fact that we very well may be living in end times and if God willed it to be that He would help me understand some of the things that I had read.Today,God answered that prayer.I used to visit a blog called Jubilee on Earthbut she had stopped posting for a while.Today she e-mailed me and I was so excited to see her blog has been updated.She is doing a series of posts about end times:)The exact passages I had read about on Saturday and had prayed about were explained by her!!Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and I just know that God has answered prayer!!Anyone who has not been on her blog,you must check it out!!!er study on end times is very good.Backed by scripture and events going on right now all over the world.I was so excited by this post today I nearly wanted to explode after I read it!I`d love to here everyone`s thoughts and ideas on this post.Bye for now!!

Blackberry Cobbler

I finally got my camera working!!Yay:)So yesterday afternoon my daughter and I picked some fresh blackberries.Then I tried Lea of Farmhouse Blessings recipe for blackberry Cobbler and it was soo good!!I plan on going berry picking again today and I`ll take some pictures of the kids.I also plan on taking some pictures by the possible new house today.That`s really all that`s going on.I`ll post more later!!Blessings!!

Hey!!I hope everyone had a wonderful foourth of July!!We were very buisy this weekend!!We went to my husbands mom`s onFriday foor a party for our nephew(He turned two.Soo Cute!!!)We went swimming,then stayed over night,because hubbys brother had a barbeque the next afternood.They are neighbors and live 50 miles away from us.It was really nice.They had a fire pit out back and we roasted marshmellow and made smores.The kids went swimming there too.We didn`t go because all our stuff was cold and wet froim his moms house.It`s nice the way his brothers pool is set up.The deck goes right to the edge of the pool,so you can sit at the table and watch the kids swim.Oh yea...Friday night we got to see the fireworks too which was nice.We had front row seats!!We also did some at his mom`s and the kids had sparklers which always scare me to death!!Then in their party favor bags they each got a box of them:/Daddy will be helping them set them off:)Today,I went to a local church for worship.It`s different then our normal church,but still nice.
We also got some good news on our house hunting!!Everything happens for a reason:)Remember how I was saying that it didn`t look like we were giong to get the house we had wanted?Well we looked at two others on Thursday afternoon and we found another house.This one is beautiful on the inside.It has a sunroom with Parkay floors and the yard leads to the creek.It also has a back deck.It needs siding and windows,but it is alot cheaper than the first house,so all of that stuff is doable!!The realator called Thurday evening after we had seen the house.I thought he was calling to see if we wanted to put a bid in.He was calling to let us know that the bank approved the bid on the other home and wanted to close a.s.a.p.but we actually like the house by the creek better.So we said no.Is`nt that funny though?I have been in prayer throughout this whole journey and I was praying as we were looking at the house on Thurs.and God is giving me an answer.I will try to get some pictures today,but my camera is deleting all of my pics and I have no idea why.I just bought new batteries and everything.Hopefully I can get picures up.I`ll try.I just love the kitchen.It`s so country looking!!It has shutters on all the windows and a liitle broom closet!!It also has a built in china hutch!!It needs the paint stripped,but once it`s all redone it will be beautiful.The outside is just hideous!!I`m very thankfull we will be able to get it resided.I hope all of you had a blessed fourth of July and a wonderful and restful Lords day!!!!

So,I was over atBumblebea green and there was a great post about what we do to "BEA GREEN"Now, I have to admit,I am the kind of person that trusts God will take care of our earth,but there are some things I do to save money that are earth friendly as well.One of them is that I make my own laundry soap.This helps the environment in several ways.One of those ways is that it saves on the plastic that is being produced for the bottles of laundry soap.It also helps the environment because I do not use harsh chemicals.Another thing I do is reuse my zip lock bags and foil when possible.Just wash them and hand them to dry either over your dish drain or my friend uses a magnetic clip and hangs them on her fridge.So that saves money and reduces landfill build up.Another thing I do is reuse glass jars from salsa,or spaghetti sauce.I posted about that a few weeks ago.I also go on free cycle alot which is so helpful in so many ways.One of the reasons I like freecycle is because you get a chance to help others in the community.It also saves the landfills.I hope this post has been helpful to alot of people and I strongly urge you to go over to Bumble Bea Green for a great chance to win one of her handmade totes!!They are simply beautiful!!!Have a blessed evening!!

So much going on

Oh my gosh!!The past few days have been a whirlwind of events.Let`s see,Friday was the ladies retreat with our church.We stayed over night at this beautiful historical mansion,nestled in the mountains of north eastern Pa.This place is just so amazing!! Acers and acres of God`s beauty.I will get pictures posted soon.The guest speaker was very good.Our lesson was about honesty.It was such a blessed time to be in the Word,have time of fellowship,time to pray together....I loved it:)I can`t wait for next year:)
Today was our Ladies bible study an it was another blessed time to pray with one another and for one another and be encouraged with God`s word.After bible study our pastor`s wife (who leads the study) had said that there were some clothes that we could all go through if we wanted to.I have been in need of clothing for a long time now.I walked away with a huge garbage bag full of clothes for my daughter and I!!It was such a blessing and God does always provide:)
Now for some bad news....we had a truck that`s been sitting around for a while,that we wanted to get rid of.It was down town at the garage.The mechanic looked at it fixed some very minor things.It appeared to be fine.Well,we decided to sell it to one of my hubby`s friends.This was something that we had been talking about for months.Well,the time finally came and his friend came by today,gave him a check and drove off.The truck stalled and was over heating so hubby ripped up the check from his friend because he feels bad taking it now.Plus now the house I blogged about a while ago,well it doesn`t look like we are going to get it.It`s taking too long for the deal to actually go through,and we need to get moving,so were looking into other options now.Then,remember about a month ago I blogged about an infection in my 7 year old`s leg?Well I had thought it healed because it wasn`t red anymore.The other day I noticed a lump still there,and sure enough...it`s still infected.We really need prayer.We cannot afford to take him to the doctor right now.There are alot of things going on right now that I wish I could share,but my husband has asked me not to,so I need to respect that.I am asking for prayer though,so please just take a few moments right now to just say a quick prayer that things will start to get better for us, and also for healing for my son.I know everything happens for a reason,and I am trusting God.I trust Him with my life and I trust Him with my sons infection,I trust that God will use my husbands injury and all of the trials were facing.I`ve been praying over my son`s leg and I am trying to keep it very clean and checking it constantly.I know God will provide.He healed me,and He will heal my son.He will also use my husbands injury."For I know the plans i have for you,they are to prosper you and not to harm you,to give you hope and a future"I don`t have my Bible here,so if that`s not the exact verse,please correct me:)
I will continue to keep everyone updated on our situation.This blog was created to bring glory to the Lord,so that is the purpose of sharing theses struggles with all of you.I want to share with you how God is bringing us through it all and I know one day we will be shining brightly.Have a blessed night everyone:)

Gratituesday is being hosted by Laura over at Heavenly Homemakers.Where do I begin?I have so much to be thankful for!!I am thankful to the Lord for my salvation,my family,The church I attend,friends,a home,a loving husband,food,clothing,Gods wonderful creation.....I think I could go on forever!I have learned so much from the great trials my family and I have gone through over the past year.One of the things I have learned is to be thankful for the simple things in life and I truly am.We can become so consumed with having"stuff" and material posessions that it can actually hinder our spiritual growth."Things" are only temporary.They do not give us true eternal happiness.When we don`t have anything and we can`t go anywhere we can truly focus on what really matters and our minds become more aware of Gods presence. I don`t know where in scripture it`s found,but I am reminnded of the passage that says be still and know that I am God. I think sometimes life can get so crazy with all of the resposibilites we have.It`s then that we get frustrated,angry,and discontent.We need to take the time to just be still.It`s in thoes times that we feel and can see the true presence of God!In a flower,at the trees,the birds...I hope everyone will take time today to be still and know that He is God:)Blessings!!

In other news,my songets his cast off tomorrow!!!Woo hoot!!i can`t waite.He can`t waite either:)Also,I have been missing a child for the week:)My daughter is at her grandmas playing with her cousin and swimming.She`ll be back on Friday morning.
How about the flood in the midwest?Oh my gosh!I feel so badly for all of those people.I saw some footage on the news and it looked just aweful.Boy,I wonder what`s going on in our world?We have rises in gas and cost of living in general,legalizing same sex marriages,floods,fires.I just want to remind all of my dear readers that we to be in prayer as much as possible and in the Word.We need to guard our hearts in these days:)

Being frugal with recycled jars and homemade cream cheese

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!So,a few months ago I started saving glass jars from jelly,spaghtetti sauce,and things like that.My origional intention was to use them for a craft project I had in mind.Then,I was reading a post over at Heavenly Homemakers(I have the link on my sidebar under blogs I visit)about jars.She uses jars to store things that she keeps in her cupboard,like corn starch and sugar.This was a great idea I thought!Then,I thought of all the jars I`d been saving,and instead of buying mason jars I could use thoes instead! Alot of the things I buy come in bags and once I open them I try to store them in zipper bags,but this way saves some money,helps with recycling,and also saves room.So little by little I`ve been trying to put my dried goods into jars,then lableing them.I wanted to share this idea with all of you!It has helped me out alot!
Another thing that I have discovered over the past few months is homemade cream cheese:) I know you guys are probably thinking that I`m wacky... making my own cheese!!Really,it takes about five minutes of prep work... and then in 24 hours... vola!..homemade cream cheese:) All you need is 1 32 ounce container of full fat plain yogurt,and a cheesecloth.You will also need a strainer and a pitcher or bowl the stainer will fit on top of.Now,you place the strainer on top of the pitcher. Line the strainer with a cheese cloth.Pour the yogurt into the cloth and twist it closed and give it a few good squeezes.Leave the whole thing in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.Durring that time twist and squeeze the cloth from time to time until the yogurt becomes firm like cream cheese.Store it in a container.The yellowish liquid you have is called whey.The whey is also very good for you and can be used for a number of things.I will talk more about that another time though:)So,there you have it!Homemade cream cheese.My kids like this on wheat toast with strawberry jelly:)Okay,they really would prefer white toast,but I can persuade them to eat the wheat also. Okay...they will only eat the wheat when we are out of white bread!!What can I say? Lol!Have a blessed evening everyone!!

We stayed for lunch after service yesterday.I made spinach stuffed shells.They were out of this world!!! I`ll include the "recipe"at the end of this post.The reason recipe is in quotations is because I don`t measure things.If it`s hard to follow,please e-mail me or leave a comment here and I`ll try to help in any way I can.I also don`t have a picture because I haven`t had a chance to fix my camera yet.
You will probably want to make theses on a cooler day,because they take a little bit of time and they also heat up the kitchen quite a bit.They are well worth the effort though:)You can leave the spinach out,if you don`t care for it,or use broccoli.

First you want to cook the shells according to the package directions.When they are done just drain the water then toss them with some olive oil until you are ready for them.Okay so here`s what you will need:
1-15oz container of ricotta cheese
about a pound or more of mozzarella cheese
about 1-1/2 cups frozen spinach or a package of fresh
1 garlic clove,minced
about 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
milk
flour
2 eggs
salt&pepper
olive oil

First you saute the spinach in the olive oil with the minced garlic and a pinch of salt.Transfer it to a mixing bowl.Add the ricotta,1 egg,about a cup of mozzarella cheese,and the parm cheese.Next you make an Alfredo sauce.First you will need to make a roux with about 2T.butter and 2 T.flour.Mix that up in the pot over med.heat.Then gradually add milk whisking constantly until you have a white sauce.Then in a small bow. scramble the other egg and add two Tbs.of the hot liquid into it to temper it so that it won`t scramble.Add that to the white sauce along with more parm cheese.This is your Alfredo sauce.Now you add the sauteed spinach to this.Pour half into the ricotta mixture.Stuff the shells.Place in a long greased baking pan.Top with rest of cream spinach sauce.Top with more mozzarella.Bake at 350 about 45 minutes. Good luck and I hope I didn`t confuse anyone too much!!

I was surfing the net before and I found a great project to try!Making aprons for your dish soap bottles!I just think these are so cute!!Here is a picture and I`ve also included the link HERE Let me know if any of you make this!I`d love to here how it turned out and also see pictures!!I`ve recently develpoed a new love for aprons.I don`t own any yet,but I would love to learn to make them!I think it would be so nice to have some that I can pass down to my daughter that I made myself.I also think it would be nice to start wearing them around the house.They look so feminin.Plus they are so darn cute!!
Okay,I think I`m done rambling now!!Onto some other thoughts I`ve been having latly.The kids are almost done with school.Tomorrow is their last day.Plans for the summer include packing and moving to a new house,Ladies Retreat at the end of the month,(which I am soo looking forward to:))swimming at our local park with the kids,hopefully hubby will get to play sofball for our church this year again,picnics,and fellowship with family and friends.Plus our ladies bible classes will be contiued throughout the summer which I am thrilled about!!
My husband gets a boot cast put on his leg on Thursday.Still no driving or walking,but at least he can get it wet now.
Right now,I am currently reading Shepherding a Childs Heart by Tedd Tripp.(Our Pastor)I have been in deep prayer about this.My children are very wild and have no desire to follow the Lord.I am deeply saddened by this.They are still young,but my oldest is 9 now.He understands alot and is really rebelling.It is my prayer that this book will help me with the trials of child reering.Please,if you happen to think of me in your time with the Lord pray that this book will help.Raising children is one of the most important jobs on the face of this planet,and one of the hardest as well.I am reminded of Phillippians 4:13 All things are possible through Him who stengthens me.

I was listening to a sermon this morning and I encourage all of you to take the time to listen to it.Click HERE to listen to it.When you get onto that site,click on the sermon with the big black e on it.It`s about putting our faith and trust in the Lord and not money.It is so hard,but if you are a chlid of God you are part of the new covenent.When we first trust Him,He provides all that we need.Often times when I am out walking I notice the birds pecking away at the soil and fining worms.I am reminded of Mathew chapter 6:25-34.When you get a chance,read it,pray about it,and really think about it.I know it`s hard with rising gas prices and the cost of living going through the roof,but we are different then the rest of the world!We are God`s people and He will always take care of us!!First,we need to put our faith and trust in Him!I felt a need to post about this today,because I know that there are some of you out there that are discouraged today and I just want to reassure you that God`s promises never return void!!
I`d love to here thoughts or comments about this.If anyone listens to this sermon,I would also love to here about it!!

Hi everyone!I hope you all are having a blessed day!!My husband is not doing very well.Please pray for him.He is very nausous still.They had to put a breathing tube in durring the surgery and his mouthand throat are all cut up.He also is in alot of pain.They said the recovery tiome will be much longer than we expected.He can`t start physical therapy for 6 weeks.He cannot walk at all for one month.He hops and uses crutches to get to the bathroom.God will see us through this!Look at how far he`s braught us already,and how many blessings He has given us!
I have been feeling alot of conviction this week about my life.It seems as though ever since I was baptised on Sunday so much has changed.My dear friend,who has helped our family out greatly(the one that I heard the gospel for the first time from),well she only lives down the street from my house so we go to the farmers market together some times.I usually have her pick me up things if I can`t go.She told me that she cannot do it anymore.I understand.She is going through alot right now and I feel very bad for her.I felt so convicted though.I feel like all I do is take,take,take and I can never give back.I feel like I can`t even have any friends without being a burdon to them.I don`t want to be a burdon to anyone.It`s not only this particular thing.I totally understand.There have been a few things that have happened to me this past week that just really made me think about alot of things.I really think I need to drive.I want to bless people and help them,not be a burdon to them.I want to be a friend,not just someone to feel sorry for.I understand that people in the body want to help others and I truly appriciate that,but we each have to bear our own load.It`s not fair to make others feel like they have to take care of their family and ours too.I really feel like the Holy Spirit is telling me I need to do something.I just don`t know where to go from here.Any suggestions and prayers reguarding this would really be helpful.By the way,speaking of prayer and the power of prayer,ANOTHER NORMAL CYCLE this month!!!!God has healed me from endometrial hyperplasia!!Just like that woman that touched the cloak of Jesus!!I have been concidering standing up in church and if you know me at all that is a very difficult thing for me to do.Because of the nature of the topic I don`t know if it is appropriate or not?What do you all think about that?I`m so glad I started this blog!!I have met such great woman who I truly feel like I can talk with and be guided by!!

In other news,the baptism went very well last night.My husbands plans fell through,so he was able to make it!!Praise God for that!He had told me that he had plans all week to be there,he was going to surprise me!!Isn`t that so sweet?My 7 year old stayed home from church yesterday to rest his arm.The two of them went out and bought me a big crystal cross as a gift!I just thought that was soo special!
Last night was truly a blessing.My husband was reading along in the bible during service and we actually talked about the message afterwords.Please pray that he becomes more accepting of Gods word!!

Hey everyone!Well,the infection in my sons leg is getting better.He had a very warm bath and it drew alot of it out.Praise God for that!!But Thursday night he was running and slammed his hand into the molding that frames the doorway.He was in alot of pain and it began to swell alot.So hubby took him over to the er.It turns out that he broke his nuckle bone in his hand.He has a splint on it right now and a slong for when he is moving around.Tuesday night the doctor will put a cast on it.I feel so bad for him.So needless to say we`ve been spoiling him the past few days which has to stop.There`s a few end of year activities that he will end up missing out on in school too.
On the lighter side of things,I am getting baptised tomorrow evening:)I am so excieted and nervous!
Also,my husband goes in to have his surgery on Thursday.Please pray that everything goes well.He will have to be very still for a month.With tarsel tunnel relief surgery it is very important not to move the area.I will be in need of help with shopping and any other other places I might need to go,since I do not drive.
I still haven`t heard anything about our house yet.We`re just waiting for the inspector at this point.So kind of alot going on in our quiet little lives right now!!I do need to go now.I have to make chili for tomorrow.We will be staying at church all day to save on gas.

Happy Wednesday everyone!!I hope you all are having a blessed day today!!
I went to our local farmers market today to get my fresh milk!!It is such a blessing to be able to buy fresh milk so cheaply and also support an Amish family.I absolutly love the Amish people!I am facinated with their lifestyle.They are so diciplined and structured.I have to take the kids to Lancaster this summer.Lancaster,Pa is an Amish community.My friend went last year for her birthday and she got to go on a tour of one of the houses.She really enjoyed it.Plus I`d also love to take the kids on a tour of the farm.I think it would be neat for them to see how they milk the cows and everything.Although....I`m pritty excieted that all of our children drink milk...they might not like it as much if they learn where it comes from!Lol!
If anyone reads this tonight please keep our 7 year old son in your prayers.He has a little infection in his leg.About a week ago he got stuck in the leg with a toothpick.I didn`t think anything of it.It started to get red and puffy and now he`s in a little bit of paine.Tomorrow we are going to take him to get it looked at.I gave him a very warm salt water bath tonight and he really got to soak it.It looks alot better now,but it`s still very red and the area around where the skin was punctured is hard.Even though my oldest is 9-1/2 I have never seen a wound get infected like this.It is a little scary.I don`t know about any of you guys,but I know that my kids often get hurt and I`m always like oh honey you`ll be fine and just kind of brush it off.It just makes me think of how careful you have to be ya know?Then I also think of how great and awesome our God is!!He uses everything in our lives to teach us things and open our eyes to things we never saw before!!

Next,I wanted to share with you about some great deals we found while out and about on Thursday.I got a shirt from Walmart for only $3 and one of those long tunics with a belt for only $3 at Old Navy!!Then I got two pairs of flip flops.Five bucks for both pairs,from Old Navy.They`re cute for just throwing on quick,or for the beach.We also got a dress and matching jacket for my daughter for only $7 plus a bunch of shirts and pants!! I had to share this with everyone because ever since my husband got hurt there has been a desperate need for clothing.Especially for me.I`ve been praying about it and God has blessed our family once again!!
My husband and I met with my sister and her friend yesterday at the new house.We put a deposit down.We have to make an appointment for the inspection and then we should close in two weeks!!I am so excited!!!!If you all wouldn`t mind please stop what you are doing right now and thank our heavenly Father for blessing us!!He is so faithful!!Have a blessed weekend everyone!!!!!!

Are you all ready for some fabulas news?I was on the phone with my sister today talking about the house.I had asked her if she heard anything from the realator.Meanwhile,I got a call on the other line,but I didn`t answer it.Guess who it was?The realator.Looks like we have a contract on the house!!!!!!Not only that,but he thinks he has a buyer for this house!!He`s coming over tomorrow to see this house.This is so amazing!!I can`t even begin to describe how blessed I feel right now!!If this house sells too,that would be soo awesome!!!There`s more.We will also be getting all brand new furnature!!There`s more.We saw a commercial the other day on telivision advertising a pool installed with a ladder,fiter,vaccumes,everything for around $350.We figured something was up.either a scam or some kind of catch.Hubby called and everything is totally legit!So looks like we`ll be getting a pool as well!If it is true (which I won`t believe until it`s in our backyard)I will post info about how some of you might be able to take advantage of the offer as well!

Hey everyone!!I just got done listening to an online sermon and the message was excellent.It`s a new site I found called Southeast Christian Church.The message was about how we manage our finances and also how we view our financial situations.What we do with our money is a direct reflection of our faith.What do you do when money is tight?Do you give freely to the Lord because your faith is enough,or do you store it away because you feel as though there will never be enough money? Malachi 3:10 sais:Bring the full tithes into the storehouse,that there may be food in my house.And thereby put me to the test,says the Lord of hosts,if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. Isn`t that so amazing?? God promises us that if we give to Him,He will bless us!!Now,my husband is not saved so he does not allow me to give 10%,but this passage is about so much more than just money.You see,God wants us to give Him our hearts.Give freely of your heart and trust in him and the blessings will be poured out to you!!Tithes are an outward showing of trust and faith in God.Trust Him first,then you will be blessed.
Our family is living proof of that promise from God!!Through our trials,I never doubted God`s love for us.He always had my heart,now we are being blessed for that!!The point I`m trying to make here is not to brag or boast,but to encourage all of you today!!God keeps His promises to us,but He wants our hearts.We need to trust in Him in every area of our lives!That is the mark of a true Christian!!
It is my prayer that this post will be an encouragement to everyone who reads it!!!! Have a blessed day everyone!!!

We Found A House!!!!

So,we`ve been house hunting over the past few days.We found our new home today!!It was a single at one time,but is now a double.It will be super easy to convert it back though.It has four bedrooms,plus the attic is finished with four more rooms up there.The downstairs is HUGE!! It does have two kitchens,but should be easy to convert.The kids will each have their own room.One of the bedrooms that my 7 year old son has already claimed is ready to move into.It is decorated with a Spongebob theme,complete with wallpaper and everything!!The room that will be our daughters is very big,which is great!Let me tell you why.We have a bedroom set for her that was mine when I was a little girl.It has alot of pieces including a desk with an attached bookshelf.Everything will probably fit very well in there.It`s like this house was made for us! The ceilings our high as well,so we can have a big Christmas tree this year!One of the things I strongly dislike about the home we live in now is the fact that the ceilings are low.There also isn`t alot of wall space to decorate.Now there will be:)I am so glad I can share this story with all of you!I want to thank all of you for your prayers for us.I feel like we are living in a dream and at any moment were going to wake up!I am so thankful to God for the amazing things He is doing in our lives!!! It is so true that God blesses those that are faithful to Him!
On top of all the excitement I have a case of the sickies.Just a really bad cold,with a cough.I feel some discomfort in my chest as well.I hope it`s not bronchitis:/ That will not be fun.But it looks like that will be my only chance to rest for a while!Lol!!I am so excited!!!As soon as I get pictures I will post them!!!Have a blessed evening everyone!!!!!

A Rollercoaster of emotions and blessings

Hey everyone!!I hope you all are having a blessed Lord`s day!!Today I gave my testimony of salvation.I think alot of people were encouraged by it!I think that is sooo awesome!!To know that I,little old me am a part of God`s plan is absolutely amazing to me!It`s also pretty neat because it was my old neighbor who I first heard the gospel from.So,she was really encouraged by my testimony as well.It`s just really amazing to me how everything in life is ordained by God and every situation that we are in has been planned out by God.
Now,speaking of how all of our situations and lives are ordained by God,remember how I was saying a few weeks ago that our financial situation is very bad right now?Well,my sister in in charge of a trust that my mother had left for the kids college education.She had agreed to buy us a house with the money.It would only be a loan of coarse, because the money has to be replaced for the kids.We will have to make payments,but will be 1/2 the amount we are paying now.It will all go directly into the kids college fund.The house we live in now will be sold and we will have a paid in full for our mortgage that will go onto our credit!!We actually figured approximately what the kids will make in inrest and the monthly payments that we will be making will actually benefit the children more in the long run.This is such a blessing!!!Who gets a chance to live in a house that they own outright,and save for their kids college??Plus,there is more to the story.I also have a trust that will be mine in about 10 years(when my oldest goes to college)And if by that time the college account is not built up I can just use that.Everything happens for a reason!!If my husband ws never injured none of these things would be possible.This reminds me so much of the story of Job!I can`t even begin to tell you how difficult this situation has been.We are getting our first check since Joe has been home on Monday.We have gone 6 weeks without a paycheck.I knew God would provide for us and he is now blessing us because of my faith and trust in Him!!So,I hope this all is an encouragement to all of you that when we put our faith and trust in Him we will be blessed for that!!!!
My sister is flying in from North Carolina in two weeks.She would like us to have found a house by then.We are going to be very busy!We don`t have alot of time.My sister thinks this way is easier than trying to fix this one though.Plus hubby`s surgery is May 22nd!!I don`t know how in the world all of this is going to get done.God will intervene and we will find a way!The people in our church will help.They have hearts that want to serve!Plus there is family as well.
Satin is trying his best to knock me down though!!He knew I`d be giving my testimony today and yesterday I felt a sore throat coming on.Well,I though it was because I was getting a migraine,but I feel it progressivly getting worse.
Oh,and yesterday we went to a party at Chuckee cheeses with the kids!!It was the first time they had ever been there!They had soo much fun.
Well anyway,I need to go now and try to get some rest.I have a very buisy week ahead of me!!!Have a blessed night everyone!!!

Spring cleaning and other ramblings

Hey everyone!I hope you all have been having a great week!!!I have been so buisy this week!I have been cleaning my house from top to bottom!Plus the normal every day dishes,laundry,and cooking.I am pooped to say the least!
I hope to learn how to post a video soon.It is about the new earth thing oprah`s doing.I urge all of you to watch it and warn as many people as you can about this false teaching.She conducts lessons that can be viewed worldwide through live webcasts she does every monday night.She also has oppertunity for people to comment and it will be heard live worldwide.I thing some born again believers need to call in and start preaching the gospel.We have a responsibility as christians to stand up for Gods word and we need to defend the gospel!!Monday night at 8pm the lesson airs on opraha.com
I do need to go soon.I volunteered to make some food for a wedding at church on Saturday.It needs to be dropped off at the church tomorrow.I need to make supper and clean out the fridge tonight.

Is the End Near?What Do You Think?

Hey everyone!I hope you all had a blessed Lords Day!
I want to ask all of you who read this to please give their honest opinion about this.I know that Gods word says that only He knows the day or hour when Jesus will return.Have any of you had a strong feeling lately that the hour is coming soon?I`m not saying that I know the exact hour,because only God knows that.I just have had this feeling for a few months now and lately it`s gotten stronger and stronger.So strong that I felt lead to post about it.I don`t know,I mean maybe I just feel this way because as I`m growing in my faith my eyes are becoming more opened to things that were always there.I mean there are just so many things pointing to the end like gas prices on the rise,cost of food going up,the war in Iraq,politics,and this thing with Oprah.Do you guys think I`m crazy,or have any of you had the same feelings.If you have,please share them with me.I mean it is so amazing to think about what it will be like when we meet our maker face to face!!At the same time it is so scary to think of some of the suffering and pain we will be undergoing if the end is near.Yet at the same time I feel so safe because I know that God loves us so much and He is so righteous that He will destroy all of the ones that are wicked.Then I feel so sorry for the ones that deny His existence and refuse to accept His free gift of salvation.Some of those people are very close to my heart and I would hate to see the wrath of God poured out on them!
So I just felt a need to post about this.I also will try to figure out how to get a video onto my blog.Everyone should see what Oprah is teaching.We as Christians are called to expose the false teachings and things that are being taught that go against the word of God.Satin is using this woman to lure people away from God.We need to stand firm in these times!

Good morning everyone!!I hope you all are having a great day!!I just wanted to tell everyone what a great dinner we had last night!I made a turkey dinner with all the trimmings(not stuffing though)We have one of thoes Showtime rotisseries.I got it for Christmas several years ago.It is worth every penney!!I highly recommend everyone buying one!!Anyway,I brushed the turkey with olive oil,sage,and sea salt.I cooked it in the rotissary.It took only 2 hours for a 9 pound turkey to roast to perfection!We also had mashed potatoes,oven roasted asparagus,buttered carrots,homemade biscuits,and for dessert apple crisp.It only took about 2 hours from start to finish which wasn`t long at all for all that food!It was so nice to eat a meal with my family and not have anyone complainin that they don`t like this or that:)Ihave included recipes below.
The turkey,mashed potatoes,and carrots were just basic recipes,but I never roasted asparagus in the oven before.It was so good this way!All you do is preheat your oven to 350 then lay the asparagus flat on a cookie sheet.Coat them with salt and olive oil.Roast them for about 30 minutes or until they are tender enough to suit your taste.That`s it.they taste so much sweeter in the oven!
Now for the Apple crisp:
Keep the oven at 350 after you take the asparagus out.yOU WILL NEED A 9x13 inch casserole dish.Take about 6 regular firm and crisp apples like red delicious or granny smith.Peel and slice them.Place in baking dish.Sprinkle with cinnamon and about 1/2 cup o brown sugar.Cube about two Tablespoons of butter up and dot the apple mixture with it.Bake for about 15 minutes.While it`s baking make your crumb topping.You will need:!/2 cup brown sugar,1/2 cup flour,1/4 cup cold butter.In a small bowl,blend all ingredients with a fork or your fingers until it becomes crumb like.When the 15 minutes are up top apples with the crumbs and bake another 30 minutes.Remove from oven and let cool a while.It will be very hot!!

The biscuits were good,but I need to perfect the recipe a bit more before I post it:)

Good morning everyone!!I hope you all are having a fantastic Thursday!!Yesterday was a very nice day.I went to our local farmers market yesterday with a friend.We got to walk around a bit and we also went on a nice drive through the countryside!We browsed alot.I now know exactly where I will be shopping when we have extra cash!!I found 2 cute little places that have adorable prim country decor!!I have a mantel in the dining room with a faux fire place underneath.It is going to look so nice when I can put pip berries up,and little signs,candles...ect.There is a big place on the wall above it where a friend volunteered to paint a family tree for us!I have so many ideas to make our home feel warm and inviting!!I know I will be able to do it one day...in His timing not ours!!
So anyway,I just wanted to share some of my ideas with you:)
I need to get started on my very busy day now.Tonight's supper will be a homemade turkey dinner!I know you all are probably thinking that I`ve lost my mind!Lol!I have been craving turkey for months though!Plus we will have lunches for a few days too:)Wish i could take pics to show you all:( Well,gotta run!!Have a blessed day!!!

Guess what everyone?Remember that post from a few days ago about how to get $25?Well,for those of you who are still skeptical,I got my check in todays mail:)Just wanted to pass the word along so everyone can benefite from this!!
Also,I know many of you have been praying for us and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!The kind words you all have left on my blog have been a blessing to me and a real encouragement!My husband went to have a nerve test done on saturday and they said there is 98% nerve loss in his foot.Today he went to see the doctor and surgery is schedualed for May 22nd.Just wanted to let everyone know.
Yesterday was soo wonderful!We had The Lords Supper last night and the kids and I stayed at church all day.Our church is about 20 minutes away,so we did this to save on gas.What a blessed day it was!!I had a chance to fellowship with some of the other people at the church.Share with everyone about how God has been working in our lives!Plus I heard someones testamony yesterday that was absolutly amazing!!He spoke with such passion in his voice and you could tell he was so full of the Holy Spirit as he spoke!!It was so awesome!!!!
Anyway,I just wanted to share with all of you:)Have a blessed day!!!!

See where the linoleum part ends?That is where the wall will be put up and then we will move the tub to the other side of the sink.Too bad you can`t see the widow.It`s a big shutter window!I can`t wait to repaint it.I also may put stained glass inside.My MIL has a stained glass kit,but I love prim country themed decor.Not too sure how it would look?
This is our huge bathroom.Nothing special.We plan on making this into a bedroom for us,with the bathroom attached.The kids all share a room for now.Our daughter Lord willing will have our room,then we will move into the new one.Don`t you love the pink shower curtains?Lol!They were one of the first things to say good bye when we moved in!
These are the steps off of the kitchen.They are so ugly,I know!We did take that carpeting off,but we plan on putting white bead board along that whole wall.That is my handsome hubby over there by the sink;)He was going on no sleep that day:(Poor guy.

Hey everyone.Here it is.Pictures of our home.They were taken September of `06.It still belonged to the previous owner at the time.It had belonged to a couple who had been devorced.The father passed away ,so he willed the house to his son.The son already owned a home,so he put this one up for sale.We totally changed it around on the inside.We only had the house 6 months when my husbands injury occured.In that time we painted the living room,painted the boys room.Totally ripped up the floor in their room and reinforced it because it`s over our dining room and you could see the ceiling fan shake before when they were upstairs.It still does that now,but not as bad as it was before.We also started painting the kitchen and upstairs,but never finished.We have plans to paint over the indian painted on the front of the house.We would also like to put faux brick on the bottom as well.For some reason I couldn`t find a picture of our bedroom.It`s nothing special.One day it will be our daughters room.As soon as hubby goes back to work.There is also a walk in closet that is behind the bathroom.
I just realized that there were no pictures of the living room and dineing room!Lol!I have a bunch of pictures that aren`t labled.I`ll have to go through them and see if I can find them!See you all later:)

A sermon that braught me to tears

Hey everyone!I have to post about a sermon I just listened to.Click HEREto listen to it.Paul Tripp used the book of Jonah as an illustration.First he described the city of Nineva and how huge it was.Then he went on to describe how week and powerless Jonah must of felt when he first entered the city.He began preaching Johnah 3:4...then in verse 5 the people of Nineva believed God!You see the point here is that Jonah was looking at this big city with wealthy and powerful people in it and thinking to himself "how will they ever hear little old me?" All he needed to do was do what God called him to do.It wasn`t up to him to try and change them,that is the work of God!How often are we like Jonah.Sitting down and saying the task that God has given us to do is too much for us!Shame on us!Go forth and do what God has called you to do!Leave the big stuff up to Him!
This really hit home for me because I often sit back and say that my children are more than I can handle,my housework is more than I can handle,driving is more than I can handle.Often times it feels like my fears of never being able to reach a goal of making my home a haven,or my children being obedient and living for the Lord,they hinder me from going forth and doing what God has called me to do!What a hard thing to come to realize!The bottom line is that no matter what God has brought before you don`t just sit back and say I can`t.Go,and leave the rest up to God!Jonah was going to preach the Word to a powerful,wealthy,rebellious city!He went,he preached and God did the rest!
It`s funny because there has been a lady in church that has been sitting with me and the kids for several weeks now.They are very disobedient in church.I think this is what she was trying to tell me though!Accept Gods call,don`t carry the weight of the task.Leave that up to your redeemer!
So,God has called me to be:
#1.Obedient to Him
#2.Be a loving,supportive,caring wife
#3.Instruct my children in the way of the Lord.Discipline them with mercy and love
#4.keep the home clean,organized,peaceful for my family,and provide nourishing meals.

Sound like a pretty large task,but we need to go forth praying and leaning on Him every step of the way!!all things are possible with God!!He is our strength!!

Also,I read a great post over at The country blossom that kind of goes along the same things.Also though she recommends a great devotional that she does along with her husband every morning.I think it would be such a blessing for those of you who have believing husbands!So,go check out her post when you get the chance!Now,I do need to go:)

A Belated Tribute To Our Tenth Anniversary

Our wedding waslike the ones you hear about in fairytails!It was absolutly amazing.We had the reception at a country Inn and golf coarse.The reception hall was on top of a mountain.Even though it was a rainy day the sky looked so awesome!So dark and mysterious!(kinda like my husband!Lol!)I do have more pictures,but I didn`t scan them all onto my computer yet.There is one more that I really wanted to include on this post,but I had a problem editing it.I am very didapointed,because my mom was in the picture.Well,if I can get edited properly,maybe I`ll post it another time!

Lemon chicken

Here is my recipe for lemon chicken.I don`t really measure things but it`s pretty easy to follow:

You will need:
flour
eggs
about 2 pounds of boneless,skinless chicken breasts,either pounded out thin or sliced thin
about a stick of butter(sorry,this is not a low fat meal!)
one or two lemons depending on your personal taste
oil for sauteing(I use coconut oil because it is healthier for you)

First you preheat a 10 inch skillet on medium heat.Next you scramble 2 eggs in a bowl.Then you put some flour into another bowl.Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the flour and eggs.Now you bread the chicken pieces.When the pan is hot add about two Tablespoons of butter and some oil,just to coat the bottom of the pan.Add your breaded chicken pieces and saute until browned.When both sides are browned transfer them to a serving plate.Add the lemon juice and more butter to the pan and scrape up all the brown bits.Pour the mixture over the chicken.There you have it!We like this dish with rice or egg noodles.What we usually do is serve the chicken over top so that the sauce seeps down into the rice or noodles.It`s very good that way.Then my favorite veggie with this is asparagus,because I think it is very good with the lemon butter sauce.We had broccoli the other night though because we didn`t have asparagus.

Hey Guys!!I hope you all had a blessed day!We went food shopping today.It always feels good to have the house stocked:)I was pritty exhausted today.I was falling asleep in the car on the way home.Then I came home,put the groceries away,and made lunch.Then took a two hour nap on the couch.I`ve been feeling this way for a good two weeks now.I am still a bit anemic fromm all of that blood loss last year,but I was finally getting my energy up.I hope I`m not getting sick.Oh well.
My husband woke up this morning and was walking pritty good on his feet!Without crutches or a cane:)I was really praising God for that!!He still has another week before the doctor sees him.Isn`t that crazy the way dictors make you waite forever?One more praise.Hubby slept for the first night in a long time last night!The paine and stress has been keeping him up most of the night,but he finally slept!I`m so happy.I really pray that we will see this trial come to an end soon.We are missing so much of our lives because of this.It`s like I said before,I know God is using this.The good that will come from this will far outway all of the bad!
So,anway I was out there in blog land and came across a few interesting things I want to share with all of you.The first thing is a post from Christian Homekeeper about that"New world thing"that Oprah is promoting.It is some really dangerous stuff that she is teaching!So I just want to warn everyone about the lies she is spreading!She is conducting an online class as well.If your interested in finding out more about this click HERE Also,keeping the home posted something a few days ago about The Whore of Babylon that was very interesting.So when you get a chance,check it out:)

Hey guys!I hope everyone is having a blessed day today!!I`ve been busy,so I havn`t had time to post for a few days!Saturday we went to a birthday party for my niece and nephew.We witnessed a horrible accident while we were there.My nephew and his friends were playing football outside.One of the kids got tackled and was thrown into a tree.He was having convulsions and everything.It was horrible.He had to be medi-vaced to another hospital.He is okay now though.He`s home.He had a concussion.He was 15,I think.My three witnessed the whole thing.They were really scared.God uses these things though.My kids are always playing rough and climbing on things.They now got to witness what could happen.I hope they learned from having seen that.It was horrible,but thank God he is alright.
Yesterday,we stayed at church for lunch.My 7 year old was in alot of pain because of his ear,so we ended up taking him to the E.R.I knew it was just an ear infection,but I knew he needed an antibiotic right away.So we had to run to Walmart and pray the pharmacy would fill the prescription at 10 minutes to 6 on a Sunday.They did.He is feeling so much better today!Praise God!
I finally figured out how to get images on my blog!!Woo hoo!!maybe later I will post some pics of us:)
How do I change my background?I found some that I love,but those html codes really confuse me!
I need to get going now.Tonight's supper is going to be lemon chicken by by husbands request.Maybe later I`ll post the recipe:)I will probably make some pasta tossed with lemon butter sauce and some broccoli for sides.I usually make white rice with it,but we are all out.Hubby will not eat the brown rice.
I also forgot to mention that Friday was our 10th anniversary:)We didn`t do anything special though because money is very tight now.I made chicken parm over ziti.We also had homemade Boston Cream pie for dessert:)Everything was very good!

Eating healthy on a budget

Well everyone,I have learned alot about nutrition over the past few months!First off I have learned not only that white flour is bad for you,but it actually strips your body of nutrients!If you must use white flour it should definatly be unbleached.Organic if possible,but definatly the unbleached kind.Another thing,no white sugar.Instead use honey(preferably raw)raw sugar,pure maple syrup,rapadora(which I have not tried yet)and stevia.The milk from the store is horrible for us.The best you can drink is raw unpasteurized whole milk.Low fat dairy products are also bad for us.Avoid all margarine and vegetable oil spreads.This all may seem very overwhelming to you guys,but I encourage you to buy the book Nourishing Traditions.After reading this book and finding out how all of these oils are processed,you will literally be sick to your stomach!Never mind about store bought milk!Moms,you can`t give your kids this garbage!!Go to www.rawmilk.com to read about all of the health benefits of raw milk.Real butter is a must as well.Raw honey,you have to try!!It is the best thing!Raw honey and raw milk have natural antibodies that actually build up your immune system and help your kids fight illness!Go here to read about all of the great things raw honey can do for your body.Another very important thing to do is any time you are working with whole wheat flour it needs to be soaked overnight in some kind of acidic liquid like a few tbs.of apple cider vinegar or homemade whey(which I will talk more about at another time).The reason for the presoaking is that there is something in whole grain flours and grains that is called phylate acid.What this acid does is it prevents your body from absorbing the nutrients in the foods.In order to neutralize this acid you must soak for 12-24 hours.You can look up this info online.Just do a search for presoaking grains.You can buy Nourishing Traditions at your local bookstore for about $25. I found it on ebay with s/h for $17.
So,now that I`ve probably complete overwhelmed most of you,if you are still reading this post,I`m sure your wondering how in the world anyone can afford to eat healthfully on a budget.Well,first I suggest praying about it and asking for God to show you.One of the things I realized through this study is the effects of living in a fallen world have had on our nutrition!Having said that,we do have to keep in mind that we can`t change everything!Ultimately God is in control!He will make up for what our food is lacking!some of the changes I have made is only using extra virgin olive oil,and regular olive oil,coconut oil,and real butter.I also make my own whole wheat sour dough bread.I try to presoak the grains when I can and we also buy raw milk and raw honey.Most of the items you can buy cheaply at Walmart.The honey you can get cheap on ebay.Raw milk is very expensive.You`re best bet would be to call around and see if some local farms might sell some to you.I found an Amish woman that owns a dairy farm.She has a stand at a local farmers market and will sell it for $2 a gallon!Hubby won`t drink it,but the kids and I do.So,I hope this post helps some of you!Please e-mail me if you have any questions,or leave a comment and I will try to answer them or direct you someplace that can!!Sorry this is so long:)

Hey everyone!I hope all of you are having a great Wednesday:)For several weeks now,I`ve been getting raw milk from a local farmers market.My friend dropped off mine today.It`s only $2 a gallon!I don`t know if any of you know this,but raw milk is so healthy for you!It tastes just like regular milk,but there are tons of health benefits.Go tohttp://www.realmilk.com for more info.That`s about the only exciting thing that has happened today.Lol!My 7 year old was home today with a sore throat,but by noon him and my 4 year old were fighting:(At least he`s getting better!Lol.

A Fun Thing For April Fools Day

Hey,everyone!Katy,over at The Country Blossom posted today about this,so I though I would join in the fun too!
Here are 5 unusual facts about me:
1.I was in a terrible car accident when I was 17.I lost 4 front teeth.I had to have braces after that to re-align my jaw pls several surgerys before I got permanent implants.I got my senior class pictures taken 2 weeks after the accident and you couldn`t even tell there was anything wrong.I`ll have to post the pics sometime!
2.I can touch my tongue to my nose.
3.I am 32 years old and I do not drive.
4.My husband and I met at a hotel/resteraunt.I was a waitress there and he was a manager.So he was actually my boss!Lol.
5.We were engaged to be married after only dating two months!
So there you have it.Five unusual facts about myself.I don`t know how unusual some of them are,but never the less they are still facts!Lol!If anyone is interested,you can join in on the fun also!Just let me know,so I can go to your blog and read what you wrote about!!
For any of you who remembered my doctors appointment was supposed to be for today.Hubby asked me to reschedual though because he got no sleep last night.I was very upset,because this appointment was very important,but it`s not his fault.It`s so hard having to depend on other people for everything:/ So,now I have to waite until April 23rd.God knows,and I know he`s going to make sure everything is okay!
You guys,while I`m on the subject I had an amazing thing happen to me this week.It wasn`t only an answer to prayer,but a true miracle!!!Because of the nature of the subject I couldn`t share it in mixed company,like standing up in church or anything,but I wanted to.Some of you may know that the condition I have causes my cycles to last sometimes for weeks at a time.That was the reason for the transfusions in August.If you have been reading my blog,you all know that the doctor put me on birth control pills to regulate my cycles.There was some confusion and I had to go off of the pills.I thought for sure I would end up having more problems.Well,for the first time in years my cycles were completely normal!!I have been leaning on the Lord throughout all of this and I can`t help but think of that story somewhere in the Gospels about the woman who bled for 7 years and touched the coat of Jesus hoping for a healing and He turned to her and said,because of your faith you are healed:)This experience has been truly amazing!!If anybody is reading this that doesn`t believe in miracles,they do happen!So anyway,I just wanted to share that with all of you!

Hey guys!I hope everyone`s having a great Monday!!I see the doctor tomorrow,not today!I guess I thought March only had 30 days!Lol!!Anyway,the weekend was very buisy,so I didn`t get a chance to post.
Yesterday,I was so nervous,because I had the interview with the elders for church membership.Everything went really well though!
Friday night, the kids and I had a very good supper.I`d like to share the recipe with all of you!Here it is:
1 pound of pasta
a jar of pasta sauce
extra virgin olive oil
a can of chick peas(garbanzo beans)
garlic powder,Italian seasoning,basil,salt and pepper
2 cloves garlic,minced

All you do is cook the pasta.Then while the pasta is cooking drain the can of beans and add them to a preheated pan with some oil.Saute for a few minutes,add your garlic,and a sprinkle or so of spices.Let garlic cook for about a minute,then add sauce.When the pasta is done save a ladle or two of the water to add to the sauce.Mix everything together and serve!The kiddos really loved it.I usually make this with cannilini beans but my daughter loves chick peas so I thought I`d try it that way and everyone really enjoyed it.Hubby ventured out,so it was just the kids and I.I don`t measure things,so just add the spices in the quantities to suit your taste!Also,If you crush the spices in your hand before adding them it releases the oils and makes them more flavorful.

Update on hubbys health

Hey guys.Well,here`s a brief recap for those of you who don`t know.My husband was on temp.disability from April last year to December.He had nerve damage in his foot that required reconstructive surgery.Through that time we went through alot and it took a big toll on us financially.We got through it by the grace of God.(the inspiration for starting this blog.)Hubby needed to go back in December because we had alot of bills that needed to be taken care of.We bought our first home in October 2006,which we were in danger of losing among other things.So,he returned to work.Well,Easter week his foot started really bothering him.Along with the other foot.There was a knot in the other foot the size of a baseball.It got to the point where he couldn`t stand long enough to shower.He figured if he stayed off of it,it would get better.Well,the doctor looked at the foot that was operated on,but said since he was only the surgeon he could not look at the other foot.He gave him a cortisone shot,which did nothing and sent him for an MRI.So,yesterday he went to see another doctor and they scheduled another MRI.The first MRI was of the foot that was operated on.It showed very bad arthritis.He said it looked like the foot of a 65 year old man.They can give him shots for that though,so praise God for that!Otherwise we could of been facing more surgery to correct the arthritis which would of involved steel pegs in his feet and probably permanent disability.So far we are in the clear for that.As for the other foot,the MRI will reveal more info.The doctor did say there is probably nerve damage in there as well and he will probably need to operate.
I`m sorry this is so long.Part of the reason for me starting this blog was to be a testimony of Gods grace and faithfulness.I feel as though in order to do that I have to tell every detail of the situation.I also am asking for prayer.We cannot afford for him to be out of work again.He made good money before.He will get 1/3 of what he was making.I cannot get a job right now to make up the difference because I may be facing a hysterectomy.I see another doctor on Monday for a second opinion,so I will know more then.there is a good chance both of us may be incapacitated.God knows what we can handle and will not give us more!Prayer is so important.There is something mysterious about it.Prayer is healing!I am asking for everyone that reads this to please post on your blog about us.I want to get a worldwide prayer chain going.We can pray for finances and healing.We can also pray that God will use this trial to bring my husband to salvation.We all need to realize that we have nothing and need a savior!It is scary because I wonder how far we will go?If it is Gods plan to save my husband,what will we have to lose?I know God is in control and no matter what His plan is it is good.That is my hope.

Mexican Pizza

Here is an awesome recipe that I made up last night.I hope you all will give it a try!

Ingredients:(this is a basic pizza dough recipe.It was my moms)
4 cups flour
1-3/4 cups water
1-1/2 tsp.salt
2T sugar
2t.yeast
1/4 cup oil

First preheat your oven to 200.This is a trick I learned to help your dough to rise.Next pour the water(about110 degree's)into a large bowl.Add your yeast and whisk well.Add oil and mix again.Mix together the rest of the dry ingredients and then add them to the water and oil.Mix well.Knead for about 10 minutes.Shut the oven off,and place the dough mixture in there covered with either a wet towel,or greased plastic wrap.Let it rise about 40 minutes.
Punch down the dough.Dust your pizza pans with cornmeal.Preheat oven to 450.Shape the dough.I topped mine with a small amount of spaghetti sauce,a few Tbs. of salsa,garlic powder,and oregano.Then I put cheddar cheese on top.Bake for 10 minutes.Enjoy!Black olives would be a good addition too.Also you could add some red and green peppers and onions sliced thin and sauteed in some olive oil with salt and pepper!I also doubled the dough and froze some :)

Laundry soap,and an icky day

Hey everyone.Well here is my recipe for homemade laundry soap:
1 cup of baking soda
1-1/2 cups borax
16 cups of boiling water
a bar of any kind of soap,grated

Okay,first you get the water boiling on the stove in a big pot.Next you grate the soap(alot of people use the fells napathia,but I use anything I can grab quick.It all works well.)When the water is boiling,add your grated soap and whisk continuously until it dissolves.Next get a large bucket(I use a 5 gallon)Pour the soap mixture in and add your borax and baking soda.Whisk and your done!It will gel over the next 24 hours.Whisk throughout the day.You don`t need to wait for it to gel to use it.I use a 1/2 cup per load.It saves big bucks and is very easy to do!I encourage all of you to give it a try:)I got the ideas form christian homekeeper and keeping the home. It`s kind of a combination of the two recipes.
My icky day part of this post is just that I`m having very bad cramps.They are actually running down my legs.Not fun.Work must be done though!I do need to run,but have a blessed day.Please comment if you stop by:)
