Daily Ramblings

Hey guys!I hope everyone`s having a great Monday!!I see the doctor tomorrow,not today!I guess I thought March only had 30 days!Lol!!Anyway,the weekend was very buisy,so I didn`t get a chance to post.
Yesterday,I was so nervous, because I had the interview with the elders for church membership.Everything went really well though!
Friday night, the kids and I had a very good supper.I`d like to share the recipe with all of you! Here it is:
1 pound of pasta
a jar of pasta sauce
extra virgin olive oil
a can of chick peas(garbanzo beans)
garlic powder,Italian seasoning,basil,salt and pepper
2 cloves garlic,minced

All you do is cook the pasta. Then while the pasta is cooking drain the can of beans and add them to a preheated pan with some oil.Saute for a few minutes, add your garlic, and a sprinkle or so of spices.Let garlic cook for about a minute, then add sauce. When the pasta is done save a ladle or two of the water to add to the sauce.Mix everything together and serve! The kiddos really loved it.I usually make this with cannilini beans but my daughter loves chick peas so I thought I`d try it that way and everyone really enjoyed it.Hubby ventured out,so it was just the kids and I.I don`t measure things,so just add the spices in the quantities to suit your taste! Also,If you crush the spices in your hand before adding them it releases the oils and makes them more flavorful.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers for my family and I!I am sending huge hugs to all of you:)Have a Blessed Monday everyone!!

Update on hubbys health

Hey guys.Well, here`s a brief recap for those of you who don`t know.My husband was on temp.disability from April last year to December. He had nerve damage in his foot that required reconstructive surgery.Through that time we went through alot and it took a big toll on us financially. We got through it by the grace of God.(the inspiration for starting this blog.)Hubby needed to go back in December because we had alot of bills that needed to be taken care of.We bought our first home in October 2006,which we were in danger of losing among other things. So,he returned to work.Well,Easter week his foot started really bothering him.Along with the other foot. There was a knot in the other foot the size of a baseball. It got to the point where he couldn`t stand long enough to shower. He figured if he stayed off of it,it would get better.Well, the doctor looked at the foot that was operated on,but said since he was only the surgeon he could not look at the other foot.He gave him a cortisone shot, which did nothing and sent him for an MRI.So,yesterday he went to see another doctor and they scheduled another MRI.The first MRI was of the foot that was operated on.It showed very bad arthritis. He said it looked like the foot of a 65 year old man. They can give him shots for that though,so praise God for that!Otherwise we could of been facing more surgery to correct the arthritis which would of involved steel pegs in his feet and probably permanent disability. So far we are in the clear for that.As for the other foot, the MRI will reveal more info. The doctor did say there is probably nerve damage in there as well and he will probably need to operate.
I`m sorry this is so long.Part of the reason for me starting this blog was to be a testimony of Gods grace and faithfulness.I feel as though in order to do that I have to tell every detail of the situation.I also am asking for prayer. We cannot afford for him to be out of work again. He made good money before. He will get 1/3 of what he was making.I cannot get a job right now to make up the difference because I may be facing a hysterectomy.I see another doctor on Monday for a second opinion,so I will know more then.there is a good chance both of us may be incapacitated.God knows what we can handle and will not give us more!Prayer is so important. There is something mysterious about it.Prayer is healing!I am asking for everyone that reads this to please post on your blog about us.I want to get a worldwide prayer chain going. We can pray for finances and healing. We can also pray that God will use this trial to bring my husband to salvation. We all need to realize that we have nothing and need a savior! It is scary because I wonder how far we will go?If it is Gods plan to save my husband, what will we have to lose?I know God is in control and no matter what His plan is it is good. That is my hope.

Mexican Pizza

Here is an awesome recipe that I made up last night.I hope you all will give it a try!

Ingredients:(this is a basic pizza dough recipe. It was my moms)
4 cups flour
1-3/4 cups water
1-1/2 tsp.salt
2T sugar
2t.yeast
1/4 cup oil

First preheat your oven to 200.This is a trick I learned to help your dough to rise.Next pour the water(about110 degree's)into a large bowl.Add your yeast and whisk well.Add oil and mix again.Mix together the rest of the dry ingredients and then add them to the water and oil.Mix well.Knead for about 10 minutes.Shut the oven off,and place the dough mixture in there covered with either a wet towel,or greased plastic wrap.Let it rise about 40 minutes.
Punch down the dough.Dust your pizza pans with cornmeal.Preheat oven to 450.Shape the dough.I topped mine with a small amount of spaghetti sauce,a few Tbs. of salsa, garlic powder, and oregano. Then I put cheddar cheese on top.Bake for 10 minutes.Enjoy!Black olives would be a good addition too. Also you could add some red and green peppers and onions sliced thin and sauteed in some olive oil with salt and pepper!I also doubled the dough and froze some :)

Laundry soap,and an icky day

Hey everyone.Well here is my recipe for homemade laundry soap:
1 cup of baking soda
1-1/2 cups borax
16 cups of boiling water
a bar of any kind of soap, grated

Okay, first you get the water boiling on the stove in a big pot.Next you grate the soap(alot of people use the fells napathia, but I use anything I can grab quick. It all works well.)When the water is boiling, add your grated soap and whisk continuously until it dissolves.Next get a large bucket(I use a 5 gallon)Pour the soap mixture in and add your borax and baking soda.Whisk and your done!It will gel over the next 24 hours.Whisk throughout the day.You don`t need to wait for it to gel to use it.I use a 1/2 cup per load.It saves big bucks and is very easy to do!I encourage all of you to give it a try:)I got the ideas form christian homekeeper and keeping the home. It`s kind of a combination of the two recipes.
My icky day part of this post is just that I`m having very bad cramps. They are actually running down my legs. Not fun.Work must be done though!I do need to run,but have a blessed day. Please comment if you stop by:)

Daily ramblings

Hey guys! Well hubby went to the doctor today. He gave him a cortisone shot in the foot with incision, which gave him no relief. He has to see another doctor on Thursday for the other foot which is just horrible. This appointment today was with the surgeon. He also has to go for an mri to rule out the possibility of a stress fracture. The doctor did some x-rays today and he said there is very bad arthritis. He said if he didn`t know my husbands age he would of thought it was the foot of a 65 year old man. So,we will know more on Thursday. They also might do some blood work because he said there might be some kind of blood disease because of the swelling. So that is where we are at as of now.
I have been having some issues as well.I know I mentioned the endometrial hyperplasia when I posted about my last doctors visit.Well,I was on birth control pills to correct it.My gyn took me off of them because she said I had high cholesterol. My family doctor disagreed with her.By that time it was too late to go back on the pills because you need to start them when T.O.M. comes.I called my gyn today because I wanted to let her know what my family doctor had said. The woman I spoke to today at my gyns office said there is no way I can go back on the pills, but my family doctor said something completely different!!So hopefully I will have more answers tomorrow.I was hospitalized in August and I needed 3 blood transfusions.Since then the pill was correcting the bleeding. This is why my gyn wants me to have my uterus out now.She also said that because there is an abnormal growth of tissue that it could become cancerous.I am getting a second opinion and have a dr.`s appointment April 1st.I hope that if I do need surgery that it can waite until my husband is well. Both of us can`t be incapacitated. When you hear the C word you can`t fool around though.I think God is trying to warn me.What a blessing that is!Some people don`t get that second chance.I think that`s why all this confusion is going on right now with these pills.Maybe God is trying to tell me "Hey,the pills are just putting a band aid on the boo-boo"there is an underlying issue at hand that needs to be taken care of.Wow!Things just became so clear for me right now!God IS trying to warn me.Sorry this post is so long but I`m glad I had a chance to think this all through!
I better get going now.Tomorrow I plan on posting my recipe for homemade laundry soap.Christian Homekeeper will also be doing a video on how to make your own laundry soap,so check out her blog as well!
One more thing really quick.Anyone out there in need of some godly advice regarding the boudoir ,check out keeping the homeShe did a post on Friday that is very good. Also, read the comments. They are very helpful!Well, now I need to go.Have a great night!!

A great Idea

Hey everyone!I came up with a really great idea today and I want to share it with all of you!Since there isn`t much money this year and I think the Easter baskets are kind of a waist anyway here`s what I did this year.I bought some disposable loaf pans.the kids painted them and made handles on the top. They will leave these out tonight for the "bunny" to fill:)They had so much fun doing this today!I just had to share this idea with all of you.Ya know, you don`t need alot of "things",you just need to make the most out of what you have!Btw,my son came up with another great idea for those loaf pans. You could use them to start an indoor herb garden!Just the right size to fit on a window sill in your kitchen!God does provide!
I also made a bunny cake today with the kids.It is so easy to do!One day I`ll post directions.I want to include pictures,so that will have to Wait.Have a blessed Easter everyone:)

Daily ramblings

Hey everyone!I`ve been busy lately and haven`t been blogging lately.Hubby went to see our family doctor today. He`s been home all week in agony, due to the ongoing problems with his feet.He also had a fever for a few days.So anyway our doctor said he will probably have to get both feet operated on.The condition he has is called tarsal tunnel which resulted in nerve damage. He said he`s seen people that aren`t as physically fit as dh is who have been crippled due to tarsal tunnel. So,my husband goes to see a specialist on Monday, and they will determine everything for sure.He could be on disability until October if they have to do both feet. You guys should see the one foot though. It has a huge bruise and swollen as if he was hit with a baseball. My son is almost fully recovered from his ear infection as well.Praise God for that!
My husband has to work on Sunday night,so please pray for him.
Tomorrow we will be dyeing eggs with the kids and I will be making a bunny cake that I make every year.I would like to focus more on Christ this year, because that`s what Easter is really all about. If any of you have any ideas let me know.We have no money to get the Resurrection eggs this year, but any other ideas would be great.
I have been in a bad mood about all of this today.I know I need to be trusting in God right now.I know he has a plan for us.I just really want to be relieved from all of these trials.I feel like I`m in a prison. We can`t do anything or go anywhere because there is never any money.I want to start using my sewing machine, but I have no money for material or notions,I`m in need of clothing.Listen to me!I should be so ashamed that I am so discontent.I know there is more to this life than things.Part of me wants to be content but another part of me is screaming for God to deliver us from this!I need to really pray and ask the Lord what He`s trying to show us from all of this.
one way to get my mind off of all of this can be to focus on how wonderful our Lord is!He sent us His son to dye for our sins so that we could be redeemed by His blood!!Praise His name! That is the hope we have!We have a God who loves us!He will bring us through this!Christ rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. That is proof of the Lords faithfulness:)I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and start giving praises and glory to Him!
I`ll try to post more tomorrow. If I don`t,I hope you all have a blessed Easter:)

Daily ramblings

hey everyone!I have been so busy this week I haven`t had much time to update my blog.
Saturday night my husband started having excruciating pain in his other foot.He has been home trying not to walk too much.We think that he may have to have surgery on that foot too.He sees the doctor on Monday,so please pray for us.We don`t know if his feet will ever be the same again. We don`t know if he will end up losing his job because of this.My husband has been putting off seeing the doctor, because we cannot afford for him to go on disability again.I trust in God though.I know He has a plan for us and it is good! That is one of the reasons why I started this blog.So I could post about our trials and how God is bringing us through them!I hope others will be encouraged by this.
So,anyway my 9 year old son has been home since Monday with a very bad ear infection.I left on Monday for bible study and I didn`t get home till 5:30!What happened was, after bible study I had been trying to contact a local herbalist so that he could mix up something to help with my sons infection. It took a long time to get a hold of him,so I waited at a friends house. It was her birthday,so we had a nice lunch and got to have some fellowship. Then I came home and brewed up the tea for him.I also had to make dinner.i had something planned but my husband was in the mood for chicken,so by the time supper was ready it was after 7:(That`s alright though. With what he`s going through right now I`m going to do my best to try to give him as much comfort as I can.Between all of that chaos I walked to the store as well!So I was pretty pooped to say the least!
Yesterday,my son was home again. The infection had progressed to a point that it could not be broken by the herbal tea.I probably could of had him mix me up a stronger batch. My son was in so much pain though.Ibuprofen wasn`t even pacifying the pain,so I called my friend. We took him to the doctor and he is on the mend now.He had another sleepless night, but he is finally getting better.Hopefully he will return to school tomorrow. So it has been a whirlwind of events around here lately! My home in in dire need of attention! So,I do need to go now.I hope you all have a blessed day!!

I Love our town!!

Hey guys!Today was a great day so far!!I took the kids over to the park. They have an indoor pavilion. There were free pictures with the Easter Bunny, plus food, and a contest. The kids had a blast! They had the whole place all decorated, and they had a cage with real bunny's that the kids got to see.It was really nice.
Now we`re getting ready to leave for my father in-laws house. They have a St.Patricks Day party every year. They always have a ton of food, plus hats and necklaces for the kids.I have pictures, but I have to hook up my scanner.I hope to start posting some stuff within the next few weeks!Well gotta run now!Have a great day!

IMPORTANT POST,PLEASE READ

Hey,guys. Please go to www.onenewsnow.com Read the article concerning Barack Obama. Please read the comments below the article as well.I know nothing about politics, but I do know this country needs more Christians voting!!Based on this article,if this man becomes our next president this country is in for big trouble.Remember the post from the other day about Oprah promoting this false gospel?Well guess what? Her and Barach Obama belong to the same church!Again I don`t know anything about this man other than what I just read. His pastor also believes that Jesus was black, and crucified by whites.
Anyway,I felt the need to just make all of you fully aware of the possible dangers ahead if this man is elected. Please feel free to comment on this post!I would love to hear other opinion's regarding this!Btw you can get daily emails from One News Now.It`s a great way to keep informed on issues we as Christians need to know about!

Another encouraging,yet convicting word

Good morning everyone!I want to tell you all about the fantastic sermon I just heard! It was on James 3 Taming the tongue.Pastor Paul Tripp(you can find his online sermons at www.paultrippministries.org.) did a wonderful job with explaining just how powerful our words can be.We need to be so careful with what we say.It is only through the grace of God that we can learn to tame our tongues.Anyway,it is defiantly a sermon worth listening to.It is something we all struggle with.So go check it out,and I hope you all will be encouraged by it.The title of the sermon is called "What it sounds Like to be Perfect."
Well, today is going to be another busy day.I need to walk to my doctor to get some blood drawn, then stop at the food store on the way home.Next,my husband works for a food warehouse,so he gets things very cheap. He brought home a 40 pound box of chicken. So,I will be wrapping, washing, and trimming it,then freezing it.Plus I have the normal dishes to wash and laundry to do.I also need to make more laundry soap.
I have a $70.00 budget to work with this week for groceries as well.So I need to figure out some meals.I also need two crock pot meals as well with that.I may post a menu for the week later on.
Well,I need to get going and start my day.Have a Wonderful day!!

A very yummy and cheap meal

Hey guys!I made a really fantastic supper tonight:)First I took some frozen ground beef and added it to a hot skillet.I let it brown. When you are using beef that is frozen it is important to keep turning it and scraping it as it cooks so it doesn`t burn.As it was cooking I peeled and chopped some potatoes and boiled them.Next I added a bag of frozen veggies to the pan with the meat.I added salt, pepper, and garlic powder. When the meat was cooked I transferred it to another bowl. Then I made a roux with coconut oil and whole wheat flour.(fyi:coconut oil is very healthy for you and the kind I buy from Walmart has no flavor,so it`s very versatile)Next I added some beef bouillon(I prefer to use stock, but this is all I had)and made some gravy.I mixed everything up and added the mashed potatoes to the top.I baked it for about a half an hour at 350,then for the last few minutes I put the oven on broil so the top would get brown and crispy. All I have to say is .....WOW!!It was very good.I highly recommend this meal.I got the idea from a recipe in the kraft food magazine(which is free. You can sign up for one at www.kraftfoods.com )I changed the recipe alot because we`re out of alot of things.Oh,you can also put some cheddar cheese on top and put garlic and cheddar into the mashed potatoes.I wish I had some pictures, but I`m still working on camera issues.Let me know if you try this though.I`d love to hear how it turned out!

Daily Ramblings

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by!I hope you all are having a wonderful day! There are a few new blogs I came across today. You`ll notice them in my sidebar. One is called Homemaking Dreams and there is alot of info about sewing. It has been a big dream of mine to learn how to use my sewing machine.I hope to learn alot from this blog! Also, passionate homemaking is another one. This one is full of healthy recipes and tips on living a healthy life!So check them out!
I have two prayer requests today. My first one is for me.Please pray for patience.I mentioned before that I don`t drive.Well this has become a huge problem for us.We set aside a day to go grocery shopping,I make a list and a menue, then my husband can`t go.Sometimes he goes alone and doesn`t bring home the right things. It`s not his fault and he has alot of burdons in his life right now. It`s frusterating for me though, because I need to be doing the grocery shopping. So please pray for me to be slow to anger.
The second request is for my husband.Almost a year ago he developed an injury that caused him to have to leave work for 8 months. It`s called Tarsel Tunnel. He had surgery in September. He had nerve damage as well. It`s in his foot.So they repaired the nerve and removed dead tissue. He had to go back to work In December, because we could not afford for him to be home any longer. He in in tramendous pain every day.We know something is still wrong. He sees his doctor next week for a 6 month follow up.They will probably end up having to do more surgery. This is very serious.Diabetics lose limbs because of nerve damage. He could also be facing chronic pain for the rest of his life. It`s heartbreaking for me to see him like this.As his wife I can offer him nothing.I try to encourage him with Gods word and he rejects it time and time again.I think this is Gods way of breaking him.We all need to have our pride broken so that we realize we are helpless and in need of God and his mercy.I want to share with all of you some of the ways God has shown himself to me over the last year!So much goodness came out of this trial so far.Relationships have been renewed that were once lost.Financially the Lord has provided. At one point Joe`s employer emailed him and said since he was out beyond a certain time he had to pay back vacation time. For 6 weeks we got only $80.God provided though.I am truly amazed by the grace God has shown to us.We have a God who loves us so much that He allows suffering so that we could be transformed!Suffering is for our own good and one of the true testes of faith is if you can praise the holy name of the Lord through trials.I honestly can say yes I can!Think of a silversmith. That piece of metal has to go under extreme heat until it shines. We have to be purified in that same way.Our trials won`t be over until we shine and the Lord can see His face in us!That is the purpose of trials. So,please pray that my husband will come to faith through all of this.I have to admit,I am scared though.I don`t know where this trial will take us or how much we will lose, but I do know that whatever happens we will come out of it with far more gained.

Important warning

Oprah is promoting a book called A New Earth. The author is Eckhurt Tulle. She even has online courses available. The author claims hearing the voice of Jesus Christ.Do not be fooled by this man!He clames Jesus told him sin does not exist anymore among other things.Everyone is in need of something to cling to.Some hope. This book is not the answer. It goes against things that are written in Gods word. The only hope we have is in Christ. There is no new revelation. The Holy Bible is just as true today as it was when it was first written! If anyone is reading this and is interested in this book hear this:We are all sinners.God hates sin.Because of His holiness he cannot look at man. There needed to be a mediator between us and God.That was Jesus Christ. His perfect blood covers a multitude of sins. You need to be born again, then we become at peace with Him through Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells within us!That is the only way!So stop looking for some quick fix, because there is only one way!

For those of you who are saved,we need to be in prayer over everything, constantly asking for guidance, because the evil one is waiting to fool and deceive. There is so much information out there. In today's world 0f technology we have to be very careful.

so anyway,it is my prayer that this post will open up someones eyes today!Don`t forget to comment!

Daily ramblings

Hey,everyone! Just an update on the past few days.Yesterday was a very fast paced day.We attended the morning and evening service at church. We didn`t get home from the morning service until 2:30 because we always stay after to talk with people. Then,I came home, made a late lunch for the kids and I.My husband works third shift for a food warehouse so he leaves for work every day at four.I had a roast in the crock pot, along with some veggies,so I peeled some potatoes for mashed potatoes and we also had homemade gravy with it.It was very good. Then we had to leave by 5:30 to make service in time and didn`t get home until 9:00pm!I usually don`t go to evening service, because it`s alot with the kids and because my hubby doesn`t go things are alot harder.Plus then they`re out late on a school night. It was the Lord`s supper last night, and I was able to attend for the first time in almost 2 years:)
I don`t drive,so it`s very hard for me to find rides.Praise God that I am a part of such a wonderful church though. The pastors and elders all got together and found a group of people willing to take us to church every week. This has been a blessing. So someone asked if we wanted to go to the evening service since I am taking membership classes ad will be baptised soon.Wasn`t that so sweet? We don`t even have any extra cash to give anyone for gas or anything right now. That`s the difference between people of this world and Gods people though.Gods people love helping one another.I can`t remember where exactly it is written in the scriptures but Jesus did say something like this:You gave me food when I was hungry, you gave me shelter when I was cold, then they say that they don`t remember doing any of theses things an Jesus replies surly I say to you if you have done theses things for the least of my brothers you have also done them for me. Theses are not the exact verses, but my point is this. That`s the attitude a true believer has.A heart that want`s to help others so that Christ may be glorified!!That`s also how He shows His faithfulness to His people! So praise God for that!
Anyway, today was another fast paced day.I woke up and got the kids off to school.Threw pork chops, veggies and some spices in the crock pot, then left for a.m. bible study which started at 9am.I look forward to this so much. It`s lead by our pastors wife. It`s a small group of ladies and afterwords we go to one of my friends houses for lunch. So we ran late today because us ladies were gabbing away as usual and lost track of time.Lol!Hubby was not thrilled in the slightest,so I will have to make sure it does not happen again:)
Please pray that I can fix my camera so I can post pictures!Okay, now I need to go make some rice for our supper.See you all tomorrow!

My Testamony

Isaiah 30:21 sais:and your hear a word behind you saying"This is the way, walk in it"These words are where my testimony begins.I always knew there was a way.My whole life I was thirsty for the truth.I was raised in a Catholic home, but the only time God`s dame was brought up to me was when I did something wrong.I went to a christian school from 1st-3rd grade. One day I sat on my teachers lap and we prayed the prayer of salvation.
As I grew up,I grew farther and farther from the Lord and His ways.I never really knew what it meant to be born again.I never read the Bible, because I was scared I was going to to hell.As I got older I always wondered about God.
In January 2003 my husband and I ended up moving about 50 miles away to a small town.I hated it.I was always the kind of person who had to be out doing something all the time.Little did I know that God had a wonderful plan for me:)
It was the summer of 2005.I was outside with the kids and I met one of the neighbors. We got to talking and I had alot of questions about God.I heard the Gospel for the first time.A few days later I prayed and was saved.
If anyone is reading this and is not born again please keep on reading.

You see,we are all sinners.Romans 3:22 sais:for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So we know we are sinner.God is pure, and holy.Because of His holiness and are sinfulness He cannot look at us.He sent us a savior.God came to earth in the form of man.His son Jesus Christ, pure and sinless, paid the price for our sins.He died so that through His blood we could live. You must be born again, because you must have the Holy Spirit to be at peace with God.John 3.Once you have the Holy Spirit you will want to live for Christ. It wont be easy, but you will be at peace with your creator.Without the Holy Spirit you are doomed for an eternity apart form God.Hell.If you attend church and your pastor does not preach about being born again take my advice and find another church. If your preacher sais you need to go to confession to be forgiven of your sins.Find another church.Jesus Christ is the only one that can forgive you, through confession of sin and leaning on Him.You don`t need to pray to the saints either.God wants us to pray to Him.He is the only one who can help us.Our creator knows us!He made us.If you think all churches are the same, think again.Read your bibles!!If your church does not preach the gospel your at the wrong one!Believing in God and Jesus is not enough. You don`t have to believe me.Read your bibles.I know there are alot of people that are being mislead by the churches and different worldly views of things.I feel sorry for those people.

Doctors visit & answered prayer

So,as I mentioned earlier I went to the doctor today.I guess I should tell all of you the whole story first.I have been having alot of problems for a long time with a hormonal imbalance I have.I was using birth control pills to correct the problem.Well, after I got saved I decided to go off of the pills and allow God to direct me.Well,in August I ended up in the hospital.I stayed there for 3 days.I needed 3 blood transfusions and a D&C.I ended up back on the birth control pills.I also found a doctor who gave my condition a name. It`s called endometrial hyperplasia. So a few months went by and I ended up having more problems, which brings us to about a few weeks ago.I saw my gyn and she said I could no longer take the pills because my cholesterol was too high. She said the only other option would be to have my uterus out.Well,I was in shock. We don`t have any plans to have more children, but the thought of having my uterus out still made me very upset. So I of coarse took my fears to the Lord.I became more at peace with the idea.I made an appointment with my family doctor to go over everything my gyn said.I was praying in the waiting room that the Lord would give wisdom to the doctor and that hopefully I wouldn`t have to go on any meds for cholesterol.Well,it turns out my gyn read the results wrong. My cholesterol is not dangerously high like she had said. I know I should be upset for her putting me through all that, but I`m grateful. So that`s an answer to prayer. Also, she said I should get a 2nd opinion about any surgery. So maybe I won`t have to go through all of that either!God is good:)

My first blog entry!

Hey everyone.Well,I finally started my own blog. After reading christian blogs for about a year now,I finally decided to start one myself.
I guess I`ll start off by telling everybody a little bit about myself. My name is Toni.I have been married for almost 10 years. We have three children. Two boys and a girl.We live in a small town in Pennsylvania. The children and I attend a Baptist church about 20 minutes away from our home.Becoming a christian was the best thing I ever did!Over the past two and a half years I have learned so much about God and who He is.I have learned alot about our true purpose in life.We are creatures that were designed by Him,to worship Him!I really want to get into detail about all of this. One of the reasons I wanted to start a blog was so that I could share the gospel with everyone I know, and don`t know.I haven`t been a very good witness to my family since I got saved and I think this blog is going to be a great way to share some of the amazing things I have learned!I also love to cook,so I will be posting alot about that as well.Once I get my camera working again I will be posting lots of pictures of my home and my children, and of coarse dh and I as well.
I did notice that alot of bloggers are getting into the spring cleaning mode already. This is very exciting for me because it is a Huge problem I am trying to get better at!I am unorganized and have pack rat syndrome!God has done amazing things for me in this area as well though. This week I have been setting goals and trying to keep them.Like for instance,we got into a bad habit of eating in front of the t.v.So now my table is for the most part clutter free, and we all eat in the kitchen.I cleaned my counter in the kitchen as well.Goal#2 will be to keep it clean.I am going to buy folders and label them for all of the papers and stuff. We also have no dish washer right now,so I am constantly trying to keep up with dishes.Baby steps, but I am making progress with all of this.
So,anyway I hope you all enjoyed my first blog entry.I hope I didn`t bore anyone too much!Lol.Oh,by the way excuse the ugliness of my blog!I will try to figure out all of the graphics and everything like that tomorrow.See you all tomorrow in blogland!Oh and please leave comments:)
